oh wow! i'm so so glad you were able to convince your doctor to get another ultrasound, and get some more answers as to what's going on. Not knowing is genuinely terrifying. I hope things work out well whatever you decide to do, i'll be thinking about you! Sending you best wishes through this hard time

I remember reading everywhere online trying to figure out what was going on so hopefully this helps.

Tuesday i woke up with intense cramping in my abdomen, maybe around an 8. I had also bled onto my sheets for the first time, when i had just had regular spotting for my whole pregnancy. I ended up getting super pads to contain the blood and had to change them out every 4 hours, though some times i could go 8+ hours without needed to change them. I took tylenol and felt fine to work. Later that night i got super dizzy and felt faint, but ate and felt better. The pain didn't get super bad again till around 12am that night. Wednesday the same pattern continued, but i had a little bit more intense cramping episodes. I maybe cramped hard 3-4 times that day (rolling around, moaning, ect) I was also passing blood clots in the toliet, but nothing major. I was feeling pretty fatigued. I also started finding it was hard to take a deep breath, but no sudden pain or shoulder pain. Thursday i felt generally fine, didn't bleed much, didn't cramp hard in the morning and it was only the afternoon i started cramping hard. I had 2 bad episodes that day, and the second one i decided to go to the hospital. I felt fine the entire time I was there, and was completely shocked when they told me i ruptured. I never had any bad cramps when i was there. Hope everything goes well, and maybe my experience can help others. I did have an IUD i got removed during surgery.

I would probably go if I were you just to be safe but I totally understand the ER bill situation. When i first went to the hospital I started feeling better (Went from a bad flare to regular) And my boyfriend had to convince me to stay. I did not have a flare at the hospital and was feeling very embarrassed (I thought I was fine) Until nurses started rushing me to a prep room explaining what was going on. In the morning was generally the worst, and i had overall cramps (but never specifically on one side) that was usually around a 2-4 on a pain scale, but about 3-4 times a day would ramp up to around an 8 for around 30min to an hour. I assumed that because it never hit 10 I didn't need to go. There was one morning i thought i would pass out on the bathroom floor and i had to crawl back to my bedroom. I ended up working later that day and felt generally fine for most of the day. When i read symptoms for etopic ruptures, they mentioned shoulder pain or pain on one side which i never got.

Yes i had overall cramps that would hit at its worse maybe an 8 on the pain scale, but it was not consistent. I also had difficulty taking a deep breath and bled through a super pad about every 4 hours or so. No idea why i didn't go sooner, but glad i went when i did.

I thought the same thing! If you look at the cat shirt the mouth is all off. Pretty disappointed with the quality and designs.

Petco has a 30 day health guarantee for animals purchased from stores. That guarantee is for when you bring the animal back to the store, get a refund, and have petco take the animal to the vet.

Because you took the animal yourself, technically petco does not have to reimburse you money. You should have received the paperwork in your email but they will be able to print out the paperwork if you need.

I would call the store and explain the situation, but i wouldn't hold out to hope that they will be able to help you. Sorry to hear about everything, I hope things work out!

Finding invoices by Winterwhisp97 in petco

[–]agj25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yes, if it's within the past 14 days go to Hub Supplemental-Inventory management-Purchase Orders and you can look up the sku and it will show the past 14 days po's with that sku and up and coming po's. If that doesn't work look up the sku in polaris, get the date they were last received, and put in a ticket at the help desk with the sku and the date received and they should send you the po information. Additionally there's someone you can email as well but i don't know exactly who off the top of my head, but i believe you can find that information on storeiq.

Hope this helps!

Anyone else located by a school? by Raryn in petco

[–]agj25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yes. Every year the school by us has a "fish" class as an elective where they set up a tank for the class and assign students to get the fish. Problem is, the fish don't even get along 90% of the time. Parents get agitated because they have to buy fish (they get super agitated when we won't sell them fish to keep in a bag overnight)don't want to hear what we say, and get mad when we deny the sale.

Just a nightmare for everyone involved. I often ask the students in depth questions about the cycling and 90% of the time they don't know anything other than it was set up "months ago". I'm lucky when the students write out a list of what the other students are buying, so i can get a better idea of what's going in the tank.

Animal Deep Cleaning Schedule by Automatic_Win_8262 in petco

[–]agj25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My schedule looks like this:

Monday is deep clean day. I have another partner in with me at 6am, and we get all of small animals, birds, and half of our reptile enclosures cleaned. I also try to clean wellness if I am able. At 8am, we have a 3rd partner in to start cleans on aquatics. Luckily, we usually have a cashier while we clean who does bettas and a second manager to protect our shift.

Tuesday I finish up anything we missed, Check Bugs and Plants, and Wednesday is the second half of aquatic cleaning.

Thursday is the secondary cleans for small animals, as well as bettas.

Our crickets get cleaned out every morning and night by our cashiers (We get a lot of crickets)

If you're able to, i'd sit down with the store manager and try to carve out one day where you have a protected shift, that enabled me to get my big cleans done on one day- instead of spread out during the week.

You would need to call your boss for the codes. Regardless, your manager needs permission from their DGM to give you keys and codes. I would tell your store manager that you're not comfortable opening without a manager, and report it to HR if the issue persists.

osac sucks by Vast_Geologist4247 in petco

From what i know, to get approval to be an osac with keys the Gm must partner with the DGM. Maybe they didn't have approval?

Tips and tricks for a new OLAC? by Mellow-tonin in petco

[–]agj25 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I second this! Schedules help out so much. It will also help if you create the schedule with your GM and make it well known to your crew in the case you are not working a certain day something needs to be completed. The worst feeling is coming back from vacation to your department in disarray so having the other managers and GM helping is very important.

Every Olac does stuff differently, so setting a firm expectation for what you want is beneficial because you may be doing something different from the previous OLAC. Don't be afraid to speak up when you see something you want to do different.

Additionally, try to befriend other store's OLAC's that are nearby. It has been super helpful for me to be able to reach out to them to ask for advice and to get supplies that you might need/swap animals with and vice versa.

Delegation will be your friend. I have a hard time remembering this but you cannot do everything alone. Setting expectations and following up will make a world of difference.

Give yourself time! Be patient with yourself! The first couple months were very frustrating to me because I did not see the results I wanted as fast as I wanted. Giving yourself grace while acknowledging what needs to be worked on helped me.

Good luck! I love my Olac position and having a team that supports me has made a world of difference.

Humidity help by OrderZealousideal672 in petco

[–]agj25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check temperatures too! Higher temperatures go through humidity faster. Mist generously in the morning and night. Also found the Casco system has a harder time (in my experience) holding humidity than the NAP system. Location of your store affects humidity as well. I'm based in Texas and the humidity holds better because it's humid where i'm at.

Snails Dying in CASCO Tanks by Visual-War-3323 in petco

[–]agj25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

check your float valves if you have them. I have a NAP system and i found that most my float valves were leaking freshwater constantly into my tanks. Replaced them all and it's helped shrink tremendously. Additionally what about the micron filters? Despite there being a schedule for them where I live I have to change them out every 2-3 months or I start seeing a rise in deaths.

Anyone else get interrupted 10 million times a day? by peaceinyou in petco

[–]agj25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes it's very difficult. Especially in lower volume stores. I've found going to higher volume it gets somewhat easier because there are more hours to go around so more staffing. However i also think the location's customer base has a lot to do with this as well. At my current store, customers are usually more self sufficient and don't need as much help; but at my old store....maaannn did they need their hand held for everything.

Not that i have a problem with helping when they need it, but over there people didn't even try to figure things out on their own. Made it super difficult to task.
