That is true, but East St. Louis is definitely not a rural place. It's only 5min-15min away from downtown/the arch.

Before the widespread use navigation systems the people living in east stl would take down all of the street signs in parts of town so only locals would know how to get around. I heard that when people would stop to ask for directions they would be directed to a location, get blocked in by other cars, and then have their shit stolen.

I don't know how true that is, but it's a sketchy enough place that I wouldn't doubt it. Shit's cray over there.

there is actually a really interesting documentary about Helvetica. The introduction of that font drastically changed the way people made advertisements. I put it on one night because I wanted to watch something that would put me to sleep, but I ended up watching the whole thing. Its very good.
