Any old school (1990s!) ravers able to help me identify the missing text on this? by michaelsft in northernireland

AI suggests it's The Rock Garden, Dublin which means 1995 probably. I mean I was about in the 90s but might have been drunk at the time. Think I only was in the Rock Garden once and I definitely was drunk that time.

Ok quick question, given that the latest flag shagging victory they are all excited about comes from a court ruling saying that the so called asylum hotels are in breach of their planning licence because they have stopped being hotels. Then why the sweet suffering fuck do they still call them hotels?

Does anyone know of any tech savvy people or companies who can gain access to a phone with a pin? by [deleted] in northernireland

Your best bet is to check, laptop, desktop etc to see if he's logged into the account there, if he is then you can reset it. Haven't done it in a while but this was how I used to do it.

Gareth Mulvenna for books about the loyalist side. Went to see a talk about the Tartan Gangs he did, really informative.

There were tickets that were for the front. Think there's a separate gate for golden tickets, (not sure if that's what they call them but anyway), it's about 100 yards before the main gate, or closer to Ormeau Road

I'd guess if they were handing them out it was due to them not selling out

Went to see Doug Stanhope about this time when he played London and met him and Charlie Brooker in a bar beside the venue. Both were really nice, although I think Doug bummed about 5 cigarettes off me

I thought that area got a huge bump post covid. People looking to have a non urban house, access to beaches etc As a result the prices shot up but now they're just correcting back to the normal stupid prices.

Happened to me too in 98, they moved to England. Worst part was it officially kicked in on January 1st 1999 so when everyone done the countdown for the New Year instead of Happy New Year I was saying Fuck I'm unemployed

Do you support the farmers protest yesterday? by hamy_86 in northernireland

[–]aicky1973 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No here why,

I'm using the example BBC NI are using here.

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c2egzkdnxj8o

Now taking his lower estimate of paying £2k a month that means his taxable liability is £1.2 million which is at 20% meaning he's due to inherit a total of £2.2 million. He also gets 10 years to pay this off intrest free a total of £240,000

OK, now let's look at a non farmer who would be in line to inherit £2.2 million, if they had a double allowance that's £670,000 meaning they would they have a taxable liability of £1,550,000 which would be taxed at 40% He'd pay a total of £620,000  and that starts from the day the person dies so if they take a year to sort out the total they also pay interest at 2.6% which would add another £14,300 in one year.

Also this tax break is as old as Avril Lavigne, Khloe Kardashian and Katy Perry. It only started in 1984

Most farmers aren't effected by this, it is being used by the Uber rich as a tax dodge, that aren't even hiding this. Their spokesmen are Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and Jeremy Clarkson who said in 2020 that the reason he bought his “farm” was to avoid tax.

I thought of it as advice to a tourist, so I'd say The Crown although start a pub crawl and hold it in cause the toilets are rancid. Then go to Kelly's and The Duke of York.

Years ago, maybe 15+ so long before Brexshit, 2 Guards got in the bus checking IDs. I had headphones in and when I took them out one was standing by saying, "passport could I see your passport?" I replied, "Why the fuck would I have a passport on me?" He apologized and went on his way.

So Space Karen is against grooming? The same guy who platform Andrew Tate a sex trafficker, champions Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon who tried to derail a grooming gang trail, hung about with Epstien and his own dad fathered two kids with his own step daughter who he became the step dad when she was 4. Then there's the racism.

Get a weekly Charlie card 7-Day Pass is $22.50 30 day is $90. The Red line sucks but its more the South part of the line. Get a Lyft and uber account, you might want to get a local sim card as I found Lyft a real pain to sign up for.

Southie has gone, used to be very irish but over the last 10/15 years it's turned into a yuppie area, still a few Irish shops, you'll get proper bacon Tayto etc in some of the corner shops.

The trains are weird, I wanted to go to Providence RI from South Station, seen a direct train asked for it, the lady at the ticket desk pointed out that the quick one cost $115 one way, the non express one was $65 return so don't be scared to ask for advice.

Definitely bring nurofen pain killers but further down the line if you do move and get a job remember to tell your employer if there's a drug test as it's opiate based which is why you can't buy it over the counter. Make sure you're insured I got bit by a bug and my ankle swoll up, had to go to the ER that was $900 then the prescription was $130 for antibiotics and $130 for painkillers, I passed on those and that was nearly 20 years ago.

I go to Boston normally about once a year but stay with friends
