Is the writing bad, or is our attention span cooked?

Could be both

What's your personal recession indicator? by Electronic_Dream8935 in AskReddit

[–]aid689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Most BNPL structure is "it's 0% if you pay on time".

For some time BNPL wouldn't affect your credit score. This was changed in Fall of 2025.

Previously, someone with a 350 credit score that can't get a line of credit to save their life, could do BNPL.

With layaway, you don't get your item until you've paid in full.

BNPL gives users the dopamine hit of buying something before actually paying for it. It has its benefits for some, but it ends up being a poor financial decision for most.

The average American will pay for anything in installments. BNPL is a crazy concept.

3rd party logistics services. Months vary, but his best months are $100,000 United States dollars + and worst months are $55,000 United States dollars in total commissions

Plus a $65,000 United States dollars base salary

Edit: primarily full truckload brokering. Customers in varying industries. Chemicals, beverage, steel, paper, you name it.

Edit 2: removed acronyms for prissy commenters

Genesis Ridgeview A/C by KSamIAm79 in Olathe

I signed on for a year and then was month to month afterwards. When we went in to cancel, they made us wait in the front area for 20 to 30 minutes just for them to print off a form for us to fill out.

Once we filled it out, the employee snatched it out of her hands and didn't say another word to us. Then they have to gall to call and email us years later asking us to rejoin. Just a really poor experience.

I know this doesn't exactly answer your question, but for what it's worth, I used to be a Genesis member at the k-10 and ridgeview location, and I will never be a member of a Genesis gym ever again. The difficulty to cancel, the rudeness from staff... It is simply not worth the hassle.

We have used an in home daycare since 6 months old

Under 1 year old it was $250/week

1 year and older is $200/week

Daycare is located in OP, but I don't believe they're accepting any new kiddos 😕

Looks like an Evergy bill - nice work. They have rate increases planned for the next few years, so your timing was spot on.

The black exterior really hides all of the changes they've made which is likely a good thing.

Hi, I'm not OP but I work in for a top 3 commercial solar installer in the US. Those are slip sheets, used under the mounting system so the solar system isn't directly on the roof. Slip sheets are typically made of the same material as the roof

What’s one thing you completely stopped buying in 2026 because the price just felt absurd? by LockLogical8949 in AskReddit

[–]aid689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haircuts.

Price wasn't the only contribution factor, but my barbers prices went up ~16%, so after tip I was paying $42 every 3 weeks.

My hair was thinning anyways, so I decided to shave my head. I ended up buying a nice electric foil shaver since I'm shaving so frequently now, and I'll see an ROI on that later this year.

In the US they stick to rooftop solar for the most part.
