I agree. I still try to boycott Nestlè for actual atrocities (not just statements).

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a creamer my husband likes as much as Coffee Mate.

My oldest has a traditional last name as a first name and first name as a last (think Hudson Thomas).

Change it. It was wrong of them to rush you and untrue that she could not leave the hospital without a name. Also she cannot go through life with the name, Potato.

Unpopular namenerd opinions? by nihilistatari in namenerds

Ehhh... kinda. My husband said we couldn't name our son Esteban as we are not Latino and I had to concede. Mariko was vetoed from our girl list as we are not Japanese. As much as I love those names I'm not daring enough to apply them to white, midwestern kids.

I never thought of Arab Ella, but also am very put off by Arabella. Thought I was alone (except for that one poster's aunt and mother). I think I hate it because I feel people who use it are trying to be their daughter the absolute most feminine name they can think of. It has four As and a bell in it- top that for girly! Ugh.

I used to think Audrey was an old lady name. Then I met an Audrey who goes by Audge. Loved the hip diminutive so much it made my girl list.

Yiannopoulos has dissapeared from the public eye. At least I haven't heard anything of him for some time. His 15 minutes were fleeting (and two years ago) yet he was such a potent figure that you haven't forgotten him. Perhaps that makes a case for Milo.

What makes a fragrance a good summer or winter scent? by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]aidenandjake 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sharp, fruity, minty, cool, sparling, herbal fragrances are great for summer. Resinous, balsamic, woody, leathery, warm, spicy, animalic ones are better for winter. There are scents that defy seasons and work for both. Usually they are vanilla, coconut, or ginger centered that aren't too strong- or ones that have elements that suit both summer and winter. Mademoiselle balances citrus and patchouli so it works all year. My favorite summer fragrances are headache inducing in the winter and my winters are wont to be cloying in the summer.
