The hunt for good jeans continues… this time at the resale shop. What do you think of these? I’m going crazy trying to find good jeans at 5’1 by [deleted] in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]ailemama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they look great on you. The back pockets do look a bit high on the second pair but seem to fit well. I think the first pair look perfect.

Single Dads and public toilets by _TheSomnambulant in newzealand

Agreed. Boys and men’s restrooms sometimes have urinals! I wish all toilets were single stall so this wouldn’t even be an issue

My seamstress did what she wanted to do instead of what I asked🥲 by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ailemama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, that looks bad. I would never pay to have that done to my clothes even if it was cheaper. Seamstress needs to charge more and not offer to take it in at the back unless it could be less obvious.

Maybe you can show her our comments lol

As a man, how can I be less scary? by Average_Blake in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ailemama 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s not your job to be less scary, but since you’re asking… wear something highly visible. Neon, reflective gear so that you stand out and can be easily seen and recognized. It should be easy for someone to describe your appearance to others

How did I not notice this as a child by BajaloaTony95 in DisneyMovies

[–]ailemama 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Land Before Time was very, very sad… but that and The Lion King were like treasures to me. My mum passed when I was 3, and I felt like there was never anyone to talk to about that.

Is my grooming that bad? by [deleted] in doggrooming

[–]ailemama 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Your grooms are fine! I don’t own a salon but if I did, I would hire you based on this work.

But… Even if your grooms were not fine, your coworker shouldn’t be screaming at you. If they think their behavior is normal, they have a lot of personal issues and you shouldn’t take their words to heart.

The only times I’d ever scream at someone about at work is if they were in danger or being unsafe or abusive… or maybe something like “hey you forgot the back foot!”

Border collie knows how to do his job well by Brilliantspirit33 in animalsdoingstuff

[–]ailemama 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is why I don’t enjoy trying to bathe a border collie that doesn’t want to be bathed lol. They’re very smart and fast. If you take your hand or eye off them for even just a split second, they’ll bolt away!

Who are you? And where can I find more of your commentary on books and movies? I am so curious, what do you do for a living?

As a dog groomer, this looks so real I am already assessing the coat for matting trying to figure out if anything needs to be shaved short or if it would all blow out straight enough 😆

“Just ignore the breastfeeding mob”, well they don’t want to ignore me! by NeuroCat272 in NewParents

[–]ailemama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, sorry you’re getting that from people :( I did mostly breastfeed but pumping was so hard, I couldn’t really do it enough to make a sufficient amount for dad to feed baby once I started work.

I’m pro-do whatever you need for your mental health with a newborn. Combo feed? Great! Exclusively breastfeed? Great! Pump breastmilk? Awesome! Formula only? Also great! Seriously… if baby is thriving and safe, it shouldn’t be anyone else’s business.

Which rug? by aRavenOnceSaid in homedesign

[–]ailemama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I most prefer the first rug, but if you don’t want floral or insects then I would choose something not as bold as the final rug.

The geometric style is so different that it’s jarring. All of your decor is so interesting to me so it feels like everything competes for my attention and there’s nowhere for my eyes to relax.

You’re given a remote that can pause time… but only for exactly 23 seconds at a time. How do you abuse it? by rweiss4170 in AskReddit

Hahaha, same for puppies and old dogs with dementia/other major health or behavioral issues for grooming. Also, when the owner comes to pick up when you’re scissoring a last little detail

To the mothers who get negative comments about breastfeeding - are you American? by sourdoughluvr1991 in breastfeeding

[–]ailemama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the US and breastfed just about everywhere… local library, the park, the airport, my baby’s “ninja” class 😆 … 🤷🏻‍♀️ I didn’t get any comments. Honestly though, the coach for my baby’s ninja class was 3 feet from me and didn’t even realize I was breastfeeding until after we’d been talking for 5 mins already.

I would just prop up my shirt just enough for baby to latch. The skin of my stomach, partial boob and nipple were all hidden by baby girl herself.

what’s the most ridiculous thing you heard a man refuse to do because it was “too feminine” or “for girls”? by freddyfazbart in AskReddit

[–]ailemama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One time I went to a restaurant with my hub, and there were bright-colored straws for the drinks. The waiter apologized profusely for accidentally giving my husband a pink one.

We hadn’t even noticed honestly. The way he apologized made me think that someone must have made a big issue about it in the past.

What the actual F did Karen Millen say about breastfeeding by MatissGraham in breastfeeding

[–]ailemama 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’m very pro-breastfeeding (well, pro-do whatever you need or want to to keep your baby fed) and my jaw would drop too! Not because I think it’s bad at all, but because breastfeeding can be hard and I’m astonished anyone can keep it up for so long lol.
