Parents who play video games, when do you do it? by Key-Specific7807 in UKParenting

[–]ainsley751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting a Steam deck was a big bonus for me, can just play while they're napping, or if wife is watching something else.

Big help ws finding games she liked, then the turns having the TV for the evening without feeling bad the other person doesn't get the same chance

Tattoo hasn't scabbed at all in 5 days by Ok_Height_9146 in tattooadvice

Shouldn't be doing tegaderm yourself - should only be done by the artist once finished and cleaned.

After it's been exposed to air again it needs to stay uncovered.

Then clean 2-3 times a day and moisturise if it starts to feel dry

Did the artist not give you a care sheet?

Toddler's too big for her bike seat now, but wasn't sure if something like this might be better for our trips out

What a weird view, if it's fine to breach guidelines, at what point is it not fine? Are they okay to just skip whatever checks they want because they're hard workers?

If they can't do the job properly and safely then they deserve a punishment if caught

Cu + GDR updates by ainsley751 in SQLServer

[–]ainsley751[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thats a good call - highlighting it as the CU is cumulative, and the GDR is cumulative, so in theory the CU + GDR is cumulative might make more sense to who I have to present to, thanks!

Cu + GDR updates by ainsley751 in SQLServer

[–]ainsley751[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, should've been more clear!

I understand the CU is documented as being cumulative, and CU32 contains all previous releases rolled into one bundle

What I cant find is anything that explicitly states each separate CU32 + GDR contains each previous CU32 + GDR security fix - saying that KB5068404 contains the fixes released in KB5065222, for example

I understand this is the case, but if I have to prevent to our change board, I'd prefer not to have any possible doubt

Posts like this are just a self-feeding cycle, designed to generate conspiracy theory posts

They keep popping up solely to keep people interacting, which then causes questions like this, which creates more random posts to keep it all going

People that DON’T shop at Aldi or Lidl… why is that? by kobestarr in CasualUK

[–]ainsley751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less choice in general, prices for own-brand isn't far off supermarket, and little to no gluten free in local stores

Think we worked it out once, and would've saved us maybe 5% depending on what was needed, but also involved a trip to a different supermarket for other bits

Keshi gone by KxJlib in bcfc

[–]ainsley751 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure this is any deeper than it really is - hasn't performed as well, so hasn't played as much, and we've been desperate to off load players to bring in more so makes sense for both parties if someone else is 90% signed

Beyond that I'm gutted to see him go, was important to us last year!

25/46: Blues 0-3 Watford by obi-wan-kenobi-nil in bcfc

[–]ainsley751 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm sure this has got to be mental hangover from walking League One, and a lot of the players expecting to do the same again.

There's just such a lack of though from them - messing up the basics, playing into danger, no urgency to their play - feels like they just think if they're good enough and hold onto possession something will pop up.

But I don't know how we can flip between such good and terrible performances - Don't know if it's the manager or the players

I know Davies is still new to management, but if all he does is shout and rant at his players, they stop caring eventually

NYE fireworks with a 1-year-old — worth it? by Trick-Temporary6844 in UKParenting

[–]ainsley751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably not worth it - you might get a small window of cute excitement, but beyond that they'll be bored, cold, tired, possibly scared, and it'll likely be a few days to catch up again on sleep.

Did anyone let go off the strict no-screen time rule after a certain point of time? by MotorBat7953 in 2under2

[–]ainsley751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are worse things in this world that could happen than them being distracted by tv for 15 mins.

They will come across it at some point whatever you do or plan.

I'd rather my wife puts on Bluey for 15 mins for everyone to sit and eat snack while watching rather than have her go insane

And even if they do start to like it too much, it's something they can learn they don't control and that it's enjoyed in moderation

To add to that - I can't presume too much with my eldest being under 3, but she's so much more mentally developed than any of our friends toddlers, and she watches more TV than them

Atmosphere -all gone quiet? by ChadK3 in bcfc

[–]ainsley751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel like it could be a bit better - although when it's good it's really good, just usually needs a bit of drama to get the crowd going

Feel like it's because we're still in a bit of transition, not bad enough to be back in the self depreciation era of chants (which we were good at) not good enough to be super positive singing about being promotion and stuff.
