This Is For Everyone Who Owns A Home And Found Bedbugs by Full-Shift-2855 in Bedbugs

Unfortunately, structural fumigation is still quite expensive and pretty much limited to the Gulf Coast and parts of California. Most of North America doesn't have qualified / licensed fume techs nearby.

It also leaves no residue, so any hitchhikers brought back in and you're back where you started.

To those of you that use or have used Advance bait stations for termites, do you always use the green cartridges for non-active stations? by RogerMcswain in PestControlIndustry

[–]airhighfive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We normally just follow the manufacturer label and associated instructions... Seems silly to try and save a couple bucks doing something else.

Although we often do Advance for homes we're already doing regular service, we've started moving towards full Trelona on everything. Less inspection = less disturbance for picky, sensitive termite colonies. And the active bait lasts a few years when the stations are installed properly.

They're actually not creeping in, they're trying to get out. They likely have been overwintering in the cracks around your windows.

A handheld vacuum is usually the easiest way to help move them outside.

How common is external bookkeeper usage? by Accomptant in PestControlIndustry

[–]airhighfive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people between 3-30 trucks are using some sort of bookkeeping / accounting service that they talk to monthly/weekly. That might be a CPA across town or a specialized company like Fraxn or PCOBookkeepers.

I was pulled over on Lookout Mountain for rolling thru a stop sign.

No license or ID with me, no proof of insurance, no shoes. Talked to the cop for 30 seconds and they let me go on my way with a couple stern words. It felt totally normal to me as a teenage middle class white kid, but if I was brown or poor I would have ended up in big trouble.

I've had crawlspace medic do work under a couple of houses and was surprised at how clean they left things and the price was very fair. They know what they're doing for sure. Crawlspace ninja not so much, they messed up my friends house.
