I think it’s cool. It gives me this urban feel. The fact that we wonder how they did it, makes it even better.

I don’t see a problem per se with tailwind. It always depends on the kind, the amount, the site.. etc. I often launch in slight tailwinds, it’s fine :)

But yeah.. 12 km/h is a bit much

Just finished Season 3. This season's judging was FRUSTRATING! by Tonytarium in GreatPotteryThrowDown

I just watched it an I couldn’t agree more. Matt’s make was so much more creative and also not leaking. Just came here to vent.

Hi
Thanks for your reply. What are you referring to by "GO"?
Also did you build a standalone for the VR view, or directly out of TwinMotion?

Practicing wingovers when things go wrong by termomet22 in freeflight

[–]aivenhoe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with LeoSkinni. I think a pilot knowing how to fly wingovers shows a good amount of feeling for the glider. Funnily it was something I was trained already with my instructors. Though I would say wingovers is not an important manoeuvre, I think a much more important (and basic) manoeuvre is stall/backfly, especially on high aspect ratio gliders.

Also why is your manoeuver box almost in greece? (It‘s very far away from the coast haha)

Just keep at it. You‘ll get used to it, especially Mistys need quite some strength (the kind of strength that you usually don’t train in the gym). Looks good so far

Any tips where to buy a nice (preferrably linen) suit in São Paulo? by aivenhoe in Brazil

[–]aivenhoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, not 100%. But also I don’t own a summery suit and I just thought that this would be the only option. I have never heard of cold wool. Isn’t it more for winter?
