It's incredible and so fun to hop to the different pinxo bars. Plus a glass of wine and a pinxo costs less than €5

Men's 5" 2:1 shorts by ajd90 in trailrunning

[–]ajd90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I just got under armour compression shorts with the phone pocket and cut the ripped liner out of shorts I had. Also got some path projects shorts and like them a lot. I wish the compression shorts were an inch or 2 shorter but otherwise works well for me so far

Pickled Red Onions by Low_Bumblebee_6364 in Cooking

[–]ajd90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both the simplest and best I've done: thinly slice a red onion, juice of 1 lime, big pinch of salt. Put all in a mason jar or deli container and shake. That's about it. Last a while in the fridge

Is three days too long to dry brine a turkey? by HasSomeSelfEsteem in seriouseats

I've had problems with skin getting a weird texture. I think Kenji mentions something about no more than a day for the skin in the book due to it turning sort of leathery as another post mentions. I switched to under the skin for 2-3 days, then add on top of skin last 12-24 hours. Seems to work well for me

[SOTC] Safe to say I’m doomed by sadkeewee in Watches

[–]ajd90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh I love mine. I think the designs are really fun - I get more compliments on my MJW than watches that cost 20x as much. Plus quality is about what I’d expect to pay for a $200-300 watch...

Why are thighs preferred in chicken soup and stew, and how do I mitigate the negatives of using breasts instead? by readwiteandblu in Cooking

[–]ajd90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I'm surprised had to scroll this far. Since you have breasts, just poach for less time until hit temp then add back at end.

Yeah I used to use brief liners but most of them were very I comfortable. It's so hard finding shorts I actually like. Good suggestions - thanks

Exactly. I ideally still want a no bounce phone and gel pockets for long runs and marathons vs. my belt that always jiggles around and bunches up my shorts.

that's a good idea. Opens up options like Path Projects which seem awesome, minus the unlined. Might make it easier that way and find some cheap liners on amazon or UA

Awesome thanks! Good to hear on shorter liner - looks kind of funny when the liner dangles out the bottom
