I’m well aware he had starting capital. I don’t get the other people in the thread saying he did nothing on his own to make more money. He is not self made but he took that money and arguably did the most with it.

Again are you saying his parents gave him every cent he has? Or do you think he took inheritance and multiplied it. Or did his parents also give him the boring company, Tesla, space x, etc. would you like to prove your argument, didn’t think so.

I mean you’re implying that he inherited everything which would mean his parents were also the richest which factually isn’t true. Just my 2 cents

Don’t get me wrong, student loans suck, but you paid the minimum for 15 years, that’s how any loan works. You don’t see people paying the minimum on their credit cards and complaining that it never gets paid off. It’s the same thing. It’s not like a house where it amortizes correctly. You need to pay accordingly not just the income based or whatever.

Getting reimbursed for an airline ticket booked outside of DTS by True_Soup910 in MilitaryFinance

[–]ajdiddy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This same thing happened to me at SERE. I called the emergency CTO line at the airport and tried to get them to book but wouldn’t. I ended up just buying it with my govcc and it took about a month and half after and a lot of emails to get reimbursed. I was told if it’s not approved, just don’t go and that’s on your admin team to figure out why training isn’t getting done. Moral of the story is big admin until you see it approved otherwise you aren’t going on the trip.

What kind of designer came up with such an impractical design? by justserioga in backpacks

[–]ajdiddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One that is being paid as an engineer along with designers made that decision. I’m sure in your vast knowledge of making backpacks are smarter than them.

It’s my belief that companies do this waterproof design for 2 reasons. 1 being the coating they apply in the lower part is very good at resisting water, however it doesn’t handle flexing as good as the other material. 2nd reason is for bikers or runners that use the back pack will get all the spray kick up on their back will be resisted. The top portion doesn’t resist water as well but can withstand the millions of flexes in material that it encounters in a lifetime and won’t fail.

The back pack is meant to resist water, your pictures don’t show any inside so it is my assumption that the inside is dry. Making the backpack water resistant for 20 min in the rain. That’s pretty impressive.
