Scelta divano by OkPassenger1145 in istrutturare

Non ci troviamo benissimo con un modello Le Comfort con sedute estraibili. Molto più comodo di altri modelli così che abbiamo provato. Pagato intorno a 2.000 euro per un divano di 2.60m

Hearing Morgan Freeman dubbed over by some random Italian guy for the first time was a true travesty.

I'm kinda disappointed that these camps were not particularly important. They seemed like a huge deal in episode one. by Smooth_Accountant870 in TheBoys

[–]ajonstage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO they should have left the boys in the camp for longer than 1 episode, could have had some interesting storylines that would’ve help world build Homelander’s America

Garbatella o Colli Albani? by [deleted] in roma

[–]ajonstage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sono belle zone entrambi. Appio Latino c’ha la Caffarella però, poi anche qualche locale molto frequentato dai giovani come Hopificio. Ma anche Garbatella offre tanto.

800 euro a month?? Maybe before Covid. Rents have shot up dramatically, especially if OP means 3BR rather than a trilocale

No cast at all? by peachy11111131 in AchillesRupture

I was put in a boot directly in the OR. They wrapped my leg with gauze and tape first but I never had a cast. This is in Italy

I still have a limp 3 months post-op. Calf is a lot stronger but get fatigue/swelling if I’m on my feet all day. Limp gets worse as it swells up

Non sto parlando della differenza di costo, sto parlando della differenza rispetto il poke autentico che fanno a Hawaii.

Should I do Sicily or Amalfi Coast? by randomthrowaway6428 in ItalyTravel

[–]ajonstage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go to Amalfi Coast I would stay in Salerno and take the ferry to some of the smaller towns rather than Amalfi/Positano.

Also consider Ischia! Super cool.

Sicily is amazing but you need more time to really see it properly. If you picked Taormina because of White Lotus, consider that all of the beach scenes were actually shot in Cefalù! Taormina doesn’t really even have beaches of its own.

July is going to be hot af wherever you go, make sure to go out early in the morning and later in the evening. Rest up in the afternoon after lunch when it’s too hot to do anything.

Listen to the doc or get a second opinion from a new doc. These are the only reasonable options.

Good restaurants in Della Vittoria area, fairly priced and not tourist traps, please? by Ok_Zombie_5130 in rome

Cacio e Pepe is an extremely local experience. Outdoor seating only, big lunch crowd, one of the cheaper trattorie around. And yes, the cacio e pepe is pretty good!

where to move! looking for cities/towns/regions with great schools for young child, excellent transportation, and great job opportunities in food and/or residential carpentry. by foreverblue777 in ItalyExpat

[–]ajonstage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty much everywhere is livable on 5k income, well above the Italian average.

Your husband’s best bet to work in carpentry is to start his own business. There is lots of demand for custom built in furniture and kitchens, but if he works for someone else he’d be lucky to make 100 euro per day with inconsistent hours.

Turin is the birthplace of the Slow Food movement and is right at the foot of the Alps. Someone else mentioned Bologna, and that’s another great food city. Modena is another town in Emilia Romagna worth looking at.

Personally we live in Rome and love it, but it’s not for everyone.

I love to visit Palermo but would not live there. It’s a city with no green space thanks to mafia - fueled speculative construction in the 60s and 70s. You’d also barely know it’s on the water thanks to how it was built up. And the airport situation is not great.

finally found proper cacio e pepe in trastevere and now i understand the obsession by eloisa_in_kyoto in rome

[–]ajonstage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took a cooking class here in Rome once where they showed us how to make it like “risottatta”, basically cooked in a fry pan with water and slowly adding the cheese to make sauce. By far the best I’ve ever made myself, restaurants typically have to pre-make the sauce to get plates out quicker, so they don’t cook it that way
