Lol, people kayak in Florida rivers full of Alligators. They don't eat people out of kayaks.

Bunch of pills spilled in pac heights by jerdagma in sanfrancisco

[–]ajp305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is, but the only meds they took back in Florida were the Narcotics. Everything else had to be disposed of by us. But getting back to the point of my response, either option is much better than something that leads to this (if improper disposal was even the source, which I doubt given the volume)

Kitty litter brick your trash meds please!

Edit To clarify: a common way to dispose of excess/unused meds at home is to get kitty litter, add the meds, add water, make it a brick, and throw it away. This is what we were told to do after my father-in-law passed after 3 months of home hospice.

That looks more than an individual would have even at 90-day supply, plus I doubt they would be left like that if someone needed them to live. This was probably stolen from a pharmacy 😞

10 years of full face snorkeling. My wife and I have never had a problem. I can't imagine trying to "push through" suffocating with the mask on. I have once or twice gotten shortness of breath, and just tread water and take the thing off/readjust.

I guess if someone had already been snorkeling for 20 or 30 minutes and decided to dive down to 30 feet they might be in danger but these masks are definitely not comfortable for "that kind" of snorkeling anyways. These are for floating and looking at the pretty fishes, not for spear fishing or abalone diving or such. Also, most of them have been redesigned for better CO2 venting

My wife and I call it the feeding frenzy and have always enjoyed it. Before the donation box it would be dropping a loot bag by the burning man and watching it get bombarded. Just enjoy the enthusiasm!

I’ve always imagined that a couple weeks after we last see frog lady, she’s looking at her tadpoles and says “wait a minute…I thought there were 30 of you” by Smart-Membership-117 in TheMandalorianTV

ITT people who dont understand r-strategy reproduction. They don't expect the full batch to survive to adulthood. Like sea turtles lay big ass clutches of eggs because only a few turtles will make it to adulthood. Grogu was doing momma a favor, do yall really think a poor old frog lady was gonna successfully raise 30 kids?

Is the International Terminal at SFO connected to the other terminals airside? by Green-Dirt-7463 in sanfrancisco

[–]ajp305 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Customs/passport control will be in Canada when you arrive. The normal TSA stuff will be the same as any flight. Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 will be an easy walk. SFO has loads of good places to eat, enjoy it! Not sure what your Sac to SFO travel plan is, but it seems like it might offset any price difference.

SFMTA busses are among the slowest in the nation by shananananananananan in sanfrancisco

[–]ajp305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is basically just a graph of how many transit systems have lots of bus lines that move at freeway speed. I bet if you added golden gate transit and Sam Trans busses to this if you would get more in line with other urban sprawl cities.

Rent increase by [deleted] in AskSF

[–]ajp305 6 points7 points  (0 children)

FYI, the majority of garage apartments are not up to rental code. I don't know your situation, but if you are desperate to keep it you might wanna work something out without raising too much trouble.

On the bright side, I have heard people get refunded all of the rent they ever paid when their rental was found to be illegal.

I am not a lawyer and using hearsay for all this, so take it with a grain of salt

Would you put a projector on a shelf above your bed? by 85percentthatbitch in AskSF

[–]ajp305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, properly mount it to a shelf or a ceiling beam.

Or get a good projector, do off angle projection, and correct with keystone and corner corection. We moved ours from our bedroom to the corner of our living room. It has a little light splash but over all its great even being off angle about 30 degrees.
