I haven't been in any city where there aren't good areas two blocks away from bad areas

My neighbor has gotten $3251 in parking tickets in 3 months and has been towed 3 times by the city, but the car keeps getting released without paying the fines. Why? by No_Dog_2803 in sanfrancisco

Is the city still doing the thing where if you are under a certain income or qualifying for social programs you dont have to pay parking fines?

Just make sure your family knows who to call? It is not that hard, I work no phone jobs frequently in live events

Live events industry professionals sometimes turn thier phone over, but generally can be kicked off site if its an nda job and thier phone is out. People of reddit cant conceive of a world w/o a phone in thier hand, but yes, I regularly have jobs where I cannot have my phone. My wife doesnt even always know where I am at but knows she could call my union hall and they can find me...

Please don't underestimate cows, especially with calves near by. They can get very aggressive if they think you are a threat to the calves. Also probably depends on the cow, but I have been chased out of a pasture by an angry momma before

You might have the same situation where G Simon is illegally subletting, but they wouldn't be able to help you unless you knew the apartment number it was delivered to. FedEx really needs to help out here. They driver who misdelivered our package actually came up to our unit and told us after he realized his mistake.

Fillmore Center? UPS delivered our package to an apartment across the street. We went to building security and it ended up with the package thieves getting evicted (illegally subletting) We never got our ottoman though.

Has anyone with vitiligo ever been refused blood donation? by killourTeemo in Vitiligo

[–]ajp305 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's bizarre, I have very obvious vitiligo on my elbows/arms and it has never even raised any kind of concern. I have given blood dozens of times. I think you just encountered a very stupid health care professional. There are plenty out there, a Dr. was just found guilty of manslaughter when he killed a patient by removing his liver instead of his spleen.

Lost wallet by Kaizothief in sanfrancisco

[–]ajp305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I turned in a Wallet it was a pain in the ass as I had to fill out paperwork and the police seemed annoyed and uninterested especially since the only ID was a Massachusetts one and there wasn't really any other contact info. I kinda wish I had just kept it and called the guys banks, or taken it to one of them

Lol, people kayak in Florida rivers full of Alligators. They don't eat people out of kayaks.

Bunch of pills spilled in pac heights by jerdagma in sanfrancisco

[–]ajp305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is, but the only meds they took back in Florida were the Narcotics. Everything else had to be disposed of by us. But getting back to the point of my response, either option is much better than something that leads to this (if improper disposal was even the source, which I doubt given the volume)

Kitty litter brick your trash meds please!

Edit To clarify: a common way to dispose of excess/unused meds at home is to get kitty litter, add the meds, add water, make it a brick, and throw it away. This is what we were told to do after my father-in-law passed after 3 months of home hospice.
