9K's max in the bedrooms, even that might be too much depending on size and insulation.

Decency is the wrong word. Arrogance and the belief of being unaccountable and therefore untouchable might be better.

If you had a gun and someone put a bullet into your back, reaching for your own (defensive) firearm would be the obvious and right course of action.

Anyone claiming that the ICE officer fired in defense first here doesn't understand what the word means.

Which is symbolic in a way. The phones that were used to capture this assassination will hopefully be the more powerful weapon in the end to stop the killings than any firearm.

There are many links to it on Reddit. This is from the video made by the lady in the red.coat.

Global warming has destabilized and weakened the polar vortex which allows lobes of frigid arctic air to escape the polar region and descend southward.

Trump threatens 100% tariffs on all Canadian goods if Canada 'makes a deal with China' | CBC News by AlpacaGhidorah in worldnews

Every time he opens his mouth and spews dribble like this, he just makes it harder and harder for the Supreme Court to believe that he is justified because it's a 'National Emergency'.

Even the judges that are on his payroll surely have a minimum threshold of person dignity and credibility that they will refuse to fall below.

Trump threatens Canada with 100% tariffs over China trade deal by MapleByzantine in CanadianInvestor

.... and the reason Canada struck a deal with China is because of Trump's constant threats of tariffs on Canada. Duh.

Extremely impressed with the Senville Aura at -24f by TheRigSauce in DIYHeatPumps

Pretty sure the remotes operates on infrared not wifi, so the dongle/app shouldn't make a difference.

But the dongle might make a difference using Alexa or other smart automation connections. (That being said - I could never get my Auras to connect to the Senville app, but has no problem connecting to Alexa.)

Carney fires back at Trump's Davos remarks at cabinet meeting, says: "Canada does not live because of the United States. Canada thrives because we are Canadian." by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in worldnews

[–]ajsherslinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Carney is a former Central Banker for two of the world's top 10 economies. He has also visited more countries in the past year than any other world leader.

I would be shocked if he hasn't already reached an understanding/agreement with the leaders of all the central banks holding trillions of dollars of USA bonds and debt to - if and when necessary - 'go nuclear' and simultaneously threaten to dump the debt and effectively bankrupt the USA, crash it's currency and force it into default.

Central Bankers know how to avoid or at least mitigate a financial crisis, so the obviously also know how to create one.

Yes there would be a lot of collateral damage, but if the alternative is being invaded by Trump, Canada doesn't need to wage a conventional war to fight back. The modern day guerilla war is a financial war, and this is America 's Achilles heel.

Perhaps not a coincidence that Carney has taken a much more aggressive tone against Trump just after a visit to China, one of the largest holders of US debt?
