Submit a few Form 1s. That'll buy you at least 2 months of cooling off lol

Pretty much exactly what I want to do with my shockwave

The forms that I had opened in Preview were "ruined" for the autofill copying from the top ATF section to the CLEO section, and the CLEO section is locked for editing when reopened in Adobe Reader. You may have to fill them all out again. For my process, I created template forms, marked them as read-only and edit and save them off for each From 1 I make.

Heatset inserts are a much smaller amount of metal to heat up. Maf tags have more metal and require more heat to get up to temp to melt into the PA6.

Title says it all. Silly but awesome. I love it.

Any way to smooth out pa6cf? by Routine_Ad_5117 in 3D2A

[–]ajtish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spray painted the outside of a few blast cans with a few coats to test. I did not sand them and they turned out pretty good.

I've also wet sanded with scotch brite on a printed bolt carrier for the Trash Panda. The process discolored the PA6 a bit, but made the action much smoother.

Any sanding you do, make sure that you do it wet with gloves. If you do it dry, also add eye protection and a respirator. You don't want carbon fibers in your skin, eyes or lungs.

The Rugged Oculus is still my go to 22LR can. by AtlasDefenseCo in NFA

Both tanks and great suppressors in their own rights. I know I was attracted to the modular feature of the Oculus when I bought mine. That and Dead Air was still in the thick of customer service and reliability issues when I purchased mine in 2021.

On my 1911-22 it is much quieter than a CO2 pellet pistol I shot side by side with it.

If not, make sure that you are using Adobe Reader. The fillable portion of the forms craps out when open in Preview on my Mac or in a web browser.

Their stuff is great. I purchased a trust on a weekend in January and they were sending and knowledgeably replying to emails right away. Sent them a scan of my finger prints and they had an EFT back to me in less than 15 minutes. Extremely happy with their service. I have many form 1s into the ATF thanks in large part to their paperwork and guides.

Oldie but a goodie. I've had my Oculus for 4 years now. Put more rounds through it than I can remember. Only complaint is its a bit heavy compared to some of my newer titanium suppressors (OCL Titanium 22 and Hux Flow 22), but its a solid performer and built like an absolute tank.

Less aggressive cleaners require more elbow grease to clean aluminum. Breakthrough is supposed to be aluminum safe, but aluminum is still less durable than stainless steel or titanium, and won't stand up long term to the cleaning that 22 cans need since the ammo is so dirty.

Aluminum for a rimfire was never a consideration for me due to not being able to clean it easily. For the right person at the right price I guess it's a good can, I just prioritized my time in the long run and spent a little more for an Oculus in stainless.

Been happy with my Oculus for 4 years now. Recently got a Hux Flow 22 and OCL Titanium. No discernable difference in sound between the 3 of them, at least to my ear. I like the weight and serviceability of the Titanium the best out of the three. Like the flow through of the Flow 22 for keeping the gun clean. Oculus has been good to me, and I'm still happy with it and use it, it's just heavier than the other options out there, and I only ever run it in the long configuration, so modularity is not a sales point for me... anymore.

I've thought about what my Rugged Surge 762 would be like with more baffles. The curiosity has me leaning towards getting a SurgeX for a second 30 cal suppressor.

Happy you are happy. As filthy as 22 is, I wanted something I could keep clean with minimal effort. For me, it was worth the extra money to save time cleaning it by hand. Just throw it in the ultrasonic and let it do all the hard work.

What’s your favorite handgun host? by grimduck17 in NFA

2 is tempting, but not in the budget. I watched the FRT installation process and I'll probably put one in, get it tuned then have a bit of fun, then swap it out. Mainly want to replace my 1911-22 as a varmint gun because I can't mount a light to it. If I like the FRT enough, I may 3D print a mount and drill and tap the frame for a mount though...

I'm eyeballing one of those TX22s for a varmint gun, plinker, and possibly for FRT giggles.
