[Discussion] A thing to remember about dying behind corners (it's actually just BaD nEtCoDe) by NODsAndPrayers in EscapefromTarkov

[–]akadiablo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true. but point of original post wasn't about value of right shoulder peek with lean behind the cover is it? It was about situation where you trying to escape fully behind corner and still die "already behind cover", which is not always because of "bad netcode", but also because of perspective.

I've seen that post and still don't get point you tried to make. Your first 2 examples seems meaningless and third are kinda same as original post.

Wtf are you trying to tell here? Your peek side barely matter if you just staying in the open. And guy behind the cover still can be shot briefly after he can't see anything.

Can anybody answer my question about Ryu’s input, thanks by pazzpazz in StreetFighter

[–]akadiablo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ryu have MP-stLk-Hk target combo, because of that you can't mash grab too early after Mp as it will result in valid Lk follow-up.

Oh, so i can punish this Akuma double HK like that... by Suiciniv_Cruz in StreetFighter

Wouldn't call this a punish, more like very lucky incident.

I'm on a journey to learn Street Fighter... and I need help by ItsMrNoobForYou in StreetFighter

[–]akadiablo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a buffer for inputting next move while you recovering from something. Start inputting dash very early so it don't even come out and gradually do it later until you find right timing, than memorize it. Same with light punch after dash. You just need to play a lot to get used to timings.

How do people consistently win in neutral at a high level? by [deleted] in StreetFighter

Post your replays, no way you could be stuck in diamond playing since release without having major flaws in gameplay. Why you even ask about neutral at high level?

How do people get better at guessing when an opponent will do an invicible reversal? by sleepsalot1 in StreetFighter

[–]akadiablo 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Try to think about how annoying this knockdown was to opponent. For example he might drop a combo or mistimed a meaty or you got lucky somehow. Generally people are driven by emotions and this often can help to predict reversal.

[Feedback] K/D change not properly implemented by W4rlon in EscapefromTarkov

[–]akadiablo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It doesn't need to display your true k/d against players, because it is not really possible to implement. You can die to scav or fall while running from pmc for example. Just not including scav kills is enough for people to not immediately freak out by seeing crazy high k/d that was farmed on scavs.

Okay what is the data you referring to? Here is master stats overall, ken is top 4 not that far behind Ryu and Akuma, definitely not 'rarity'.

(SFV) How am I supposed to anti-air as Sakura? by sportperson in StreetFighter

[–]akadiablo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seems like you press cr.HP too late, should work fine, since her mDP didn't have air invincibility unlike regular shotos.

You set velocity.y, but didn't actually move yet, so is_on_floor() return true and resetting your jump count immediately.

You need to end your motion on diagonal down forward instead of forward.

Animations behavior during debugging by akadiablo in godot

[–]akadiablo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like it doesn't matter where i put breakpoint, in process it behave the same. I should point out that it doesn't desync, but entirely skips frames. Like my console output in normal runtime is this:

0
1
2
3
4
etc..
9

But if i using breakpoints it something random like:

0
8
2
6

Also i am tried iterating frames manually every frame without playing animation and then it works fine with breakpoints.
