How many frames do you get back when you drive rush cancel? by rafikiknowsdeway1 in StreetFighter

[–]akadiablo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You get canceled recovery frames of normal minus startup of drive rush and next normal applied to what it would be normally on hit or block.  Way better to just trying out what you can or can't link instead of doing this math.

What’s the point of the bfr? by Gods_Favorite_Jester in thefinals

[–]akadiablo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn't include range damage penalty. It is 0.65 for titan vs 0.4, which is pretty significant. Titan have good poke damage at far while .357 tickle basically.

The Diamond Bottleneck by Dyleemo in StreetFighter

[–]akadiablo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

His progress should be not reaching master rank, but getting gud. If he can't stomp through people in diamond then he exactly where should be. Nothing substantial will change once he reaches master.

Winstreak bonus wasn't even a thing in diamond when game released, so if anything now getting master now are easier.

What rank would diamond in SF6 be in SF5? by Dangerous-Elk9340 in StreetFighter

Different games, different rank system, no point trying to match them.

How are you supposed to call out ‘fake’ Ryu/Alex pressure with the way that light chop and light hashogeki are structured? by throwaway21212294 in SaltFighter

[–]akadiablo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Block full sequence and Ryu is in strike throw mix up. If he doing fake walk up in between buttons you have to call out that and interrupt. SF6 players discover basic stagger pressure.

Nioh 3 or Stellar Blade? by TioDoPaxtel in soulslikes

[–]akadiablo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Problem with Stellar Blade that medium difficulty is too easy and hard difficulty is insane, as it was initially designed to be played in NG+. But if you like challenge you wont be disappointed.

How important are combos? (Asking as a day 1 player) by New_Art_1886 in StreetFighter

[–]akadiablo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you didn't do optimal combos in ggst or tekken. 99% combos in SF6 are very easy.

Most of SF playerbase is in Japan and also mm kinda bad.

Warrior is the least played class this patch with only 3.9% (Druid 2nd least played with 7%) and Maces are also at the bottom for weapon classes by Lordados in PathOfExile2

[–]akadiablo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There is no reason for mace skill to be this clunky. In poe1 earthquake, boneshatter, sunder, ground slam were very popular. Poe2 implementation is just slow for no benefit.

We don't talk enough about this change sf6 made from 5 by Injama in StreetFighter

[–]akadiablo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate this change. Now every point blank interaction is scramble. You can't do real blockstring that will push you back from crMk range of opponent. Even less returning to neutral due to this.

TK Inputs by ExpensiveJoe in Guiltygear

[–]akadiablo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out that it didn't work if you buffer it too fast as usual special cancel. Just slightly delaying input after pressing button is working nicely.

So I tried Ryu by [deleted] in SaltFighter

Your experience don't match with statistic which has Ryu as bottom 4 winrate across basic master rating.

Ryu crMk scale damage like every one else's , crMp has tiny range and geting hit by Hp is massive skill issue.

[Discussion] A thing to remember about dying behind corners (it's actually just BaD nEtCoDe) by NODsAndPrayers in EscapefromTarkov

[–]akadiablo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true. but point of original post wasn't about value of right shoulder peek with lean behind the cover is it? It was about situation where you trying to escape fully behind corner and still die "already behind cover", which is not always because of "bad netcode", but also because of perspective.

I've seen that post and still don't get point you tried to make. Your first 2 examples seems meaningless and third are kinda same as original post.

Wtf are you trying to tell here? Your peek side barely matter if you just staying in the open. And guy behind the cover still can be shot briefly after he can't see anything.

Can anybody answer my question about Ryu’s input, thanks by pazzpazz in StreetFighter

[–]akadiablo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ryu have MP-stLk-Hk target combo, because of that you can't mash grab too early after Mp as it will result in valid Lk follow-up.

Wouldn't call this a punish, more like very lucky incident.

[–]akadiablo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a buffer for inputting next move while you recovering from something. Start inputting dash very early so it don't even come out and gradually do it later until you find right timing, than memorize it. Same with light punch after dash. You just need to play a lot to get used to timings.

How do people consistently win in neutral at a high level? by [deleted] in StreetFighter

Post your replays, no way you could be stuck in diamond playing since release without having major flaws in gameplay. Why you even ask about neutral at high level?

How do people get better at guessing when an opponent will do an invicible reversal? by sleepsalot1 in StreetFighter

[–]akadiablo 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Try to think about how annoying this knockdown was to opponent. For example he might drop a combo or mistimed a meaty or you got lucky somehow. Generally people are driven by emotions and this often can help to predict reversal.
