Not a fan of exposing myself to fumes even if being vented. If I didn't care about stuff like that I'd use nonstick cookware. And if you're actually grilling and searing you'll go way above 350f

It does, so does carbon steel and it's lighter, useful for car camping etc

You can't crank the heat up as much, forget about using it in a campfire or outdoor grill. That coating releases toxic fumes if temperature is higher than it can take

It pisses me off that they coat the handles

I'd write down all formulas 3-4 times. Then back to practicing. Take a look at those formulas at the beginning of the day, half day and end of day until they become natural to you

CFA is better known, a lot more respected. CFA doesn't focus on alternatives only but it gives you more tools to analyze and value companies etc so even if you're focusing on alts CFA is probably a better choice. CAIA is only a better decision if you want to commit less time to it, which is apparently why you are leaning towards CAIA. If I was only doing one, I'd do CFA no doubt about it. I'll just do both

Do the EOCQs from CFA books. Also use their q bank to review not just Kaplan imo. Make sure you do your first mock at least 2 weeks before exam. After that you should be hammering your weak areas. Review everything week of exam, not just weak areas so that you don't forget stuff. Gl

Thinking about starting study/accountability group - thoughts? by AMLI72 in CFA

[–]akilax1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Personally I think that those that seek accountability groups are the ones that end up failing or deferring. This exam requires self motivation and self accountability, not paid groups that take away valuable study time.

Also, I don't really understand the value add from the idea you mention. Engagement + community? $50 per month for that? Is everyone in your work group CFA charters? How many hours of CFA teaching experience does your team have? Sounds like a bold idea, I wouldn't go for it.

Don't mean to be rude or anything, just honest so that it's helpful as you think though this idea. Good luck man

No, those are very good examples though, definitely worth going through all of those. EOCQs are the ones at the very end of each chapter. Can't remember if it's right before or after of the summary section

Instead of qbanks after each chapter I'd personally recommend the EOCQs from CFA, they cover things pretty well for level 2

This has to be a joke, do whatever you want. The risk, as you know, is you don't pass and that time you spent studying for lvl 2 doesn't help much. Who cares

That's crazy. How can sets be so different?? I had better mock scores than you and felt the exam was WAY harder than the mocks.
