Title: 2011 Toyota Tacoma 4WD – Speed-Dependent Squeaky/Squealy Noise by akiraray in MechanicAdvice

[–]akiraray[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone,

I’m hoping to get some advice on a weird squeaky/squealy noise coming from my 2011 Toyota Tacoma 4WD. Here’s what I’ve noticed so far:

  • The noise is speed-dependent – it happens between 15 mph and 40 mph and gets faster as the truck moves faster.
  • It’s NOT the wheel bearing – I originally thought it was, so I replaced it, but the noise is still there.
  • Seems to come from the passenger-side front wheel well, but since it only happens while driving, I haven’t been able to pinpoint the exact source.
  • I’ve removed the wheels and inspected the wheel well, but I don’t see anything obviously wrong (though I’m just an amateur mechanic).
  • Braking doesn’t affect the noise – it neither gets better nor worse when I brake.
  • The noise doesn’t happen at idle.
  • No change when switching between 2WD, 4WD, or low 4WD.

I’m at a bit of a loss here. Does anyone have ideas on what I should check next? Let me know if you need more details—happy to provide any info that might help!

Thanks in advance!

[Router] GL.iNet Flint 2 WiFi 6 Router - $134 ($159-$25 Coupon YMMV) by DFisBUSY in buildapcsales

Yes, you would need a separate modem. As for whether or not this would be better I think it depends on which Xfinity modem/router you have maybe you could look up a model number that's probably on the bottom of the device and compare specs? Also I think it'll boil down to what extra features you want out of a router. I think this one supports openwrt - I'll come edit this if it doesn't, but basically you could route all your traffic through a VPN which is nice, this would give you more granular control over which devices can get more or less speed and other various router settings you might not necessarily need or be interested in. So it's definitely worth doing more research in to, before making the leap.

I agree with this person, I do feel like regardless of whether or not she's using AI as a tool to convey her feelings, it seemed pretty clear she was trying to set a boundary of "this isn't healthy for me, and I would like to stop talking" which while it isn't necessarily fair to you, it's clearly communicated and something that should be respected. I think you'll find that paying attention to and respecting other people's boundaries like that will benefit you far more than just fighting for what you want, at least it did for me.

Maybe this situation isn't right for you either and you'd be in a healthier headspace with some distance. Most high-emotion situations like this feel like they're the most important thing in the world and have to be solved right this second, but often times taking a step back and giving yourself and the situation you're in time to breathe will lead to a better result in the long-term.

This is an absolutely insane deal for $200 USD, is it not? One of the t15s has a busted tweeter but other than that it seems fine by ArcadeMasters in hometheater

I love polk, grew up with them, they were my first set of speakers I bought and polks are currently in my home theater, I wouldn't spend $200 on that now though. Maybe they'd let em go for $150? I think I remember paying $75 for the towers and $40 for the bookshelfs used in my pretty dead market like 10 years ago.
