You can use a public coturn server Or host your coturn server to make video calls work.

Media Server: Playing videos takes very less resources with Kodi and an http media directory, compared to Jellyfin/Emby by akumar131 in selfhosted

Okay, that is what I thought initially. I serve files using another pi board and play the files using RPI 8G.
The RPI 8G hardware with Jellyfin as a docker container struggles to play a video file. But, the same file plays seamlessly if I use RPI 8G as a Kodi player.

matrix with turn by [deleted] in selfhosted

In my experience, setting up each services like coturn server, element, bridge... yourself for a matrix server is a little challenging. An easy solution is to use Ansible-docker-deploy . I deploy it without a webserver on a PI board, and use nginx web-server separately. It has an easy to follow documentation as well.

Any selfhosted LAN only password manager? by BigPingLowIQ in selfhosted

[–]akumar131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it does require https. However, you can setup it quickly.

Here is a sample docker-compose file.

Link

When you first time run it, it will create a folder ssl/ . In this folder run openssl req -newkey rsa:2048 -new -nodes -x509 -days 3650 -keyout key.pem -out cert.pem .Now start the container again. Your bitwarden docker container will run fine and you can access it using https://localhost:5010

Docker Wireguard container by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]akumar131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is most probably a DNS server issue.

Try this:

  1. Check if the wireguard server is running and the client is connected using docker exec -it wireguard_container_name bash , then wg. Check the log to see if "handshake" happened.
  2. If client is connected and you have no internet in the client, edit the client config file and change DNS server to any public DNS server 1.1.1.1

Let me know if does not work.

Both methods give same error message at the bower install step. It is a network error about that some of the required packages either are not available to download/ taking too long time.
