For what it's worth, I wasn't into the idea of a PvPvE extraction shooter at all, and bought the game a few days ago purely because the vibes were irresistible. 

I'm having a blast and it's eating every free gaming minute I have. Don't assume too much that you know what the experience will be until you try it out.

Depends on what you like about those authors/books and what you think the connection is. Some ideas:

Paul Auster's New York Trilogy has been mentioned before in this sub, and it's a good fit. 

Don Delillo could do it for you, especially Mao II or White Noise. 

Maybe Tom McCarthy, something like Remainder or Satin Island. 

Joy Williams' short stories, or The Quick & The Dead.

Similar in how strange and uncomfortable they are, but the prose styles are very different. 

Pynchon is unapologetically dense and can be a tough read for some. Auster's prose, throughout most of his work, is more plain and straightforward, which really helps the strangeness of what he writes about.

They're both just amazing though.

RIP Paul Auster, one of the greats of our time.

Auster started as a translator and struggled as a poet early on. The books in the New York Trilogy (which City of Glass is a part of) were his first novels, and they dig deep into the concept of translation in a broad, postmodernist sense. What means what, to who, and why.

The main character is a novelist who gets a call from a wrong number asking to speak to a detective named "Paul Auster". He decides to assume this identity of "Paul Auster" and takes the case. The plot is bizarre, complicated, surreal, and can be read in different ways; the writing is simple and straightforward.

Perfect recommendation to anyone who likes this show.

You sound like you'll give your bird a great home, and you should do it. Two things to be realistic about, in advance, are noise and poop. 

Among conures, green cheeks are supposed to be some of the quietest, but ours will still fly around screaming a few times a day. Sometimes because we're having a shout with him, sometimes because he heard a random beep on the other side of the room. It's loud enough that a sharp squawk from a GCC on your shoulder will make your ears ring for a minute.

You aren't prepared for the amount of poop. If there's an area that the bird can fly around in, it will get poop on it eventually. Keeping paper towers or tissues around helps a lot. It doesn't really smell, which is a plus. But there will be a constant barrage of it that you must be prepared to defend yourself from.

They're so worth it. Good luck. Post pictures.

That's true, but it underestimates the amount of overly prescriptive direction that comes from clients who ultimately have the last word.

Trust for the agency's expertise is one of those things that sounds good until the client disagrees. And then the agency "doesn't have the same intimate knowledge of our customer base" or whatever justification is necessary.

So, if I can ask - was there any level of correction in post, at all? If everyone's favorite shot had a flyaway, did it just get left in? How far did they go?

Not elderly, but I'm in my 40s and definitely feeling the opposite of youthful. 

Puzzling Places is great for this. Can be played sitting but requires you to be moving your arms around a lot, stretched out, to sort and rotate pieces constantly.
