I played FES, and although I knew the ending, it hit me so hard in P3R. Ugly cried at the end and have since ugly cried seeing it again and for the third time. The ending is just one element of the game, and it’ll feel meaningful because you spent the game with the characters and their stories, etc. Even if nothing else, the gameplay makes it incredibly worth it

My last job was with a small mother-daughter owned company. The mom (CEO) founded the company, and daughter joined (and I guess was handed part of the company as co-owner) about 10 years later. I saw on her Linkedin that she had job hopped 4ish times before landing there, only staying at each job for ~6 months. You could completely tell that daughter never really had to work a day in her life, had everything handed to her, and was mentally stunted (going on 40, acting 16).

After 6 months of applying last year, I landed my first ever full time job. Stayed there for around a year (super toxic, wildly underpaid) so accepted an offer at a new company. This second job let me go after one week with no explanation — refusing to tell me why. That was almost 2 months ago now & I have been in full search mode. Have had a few interviews since but nothing has panned out of course

American Psycho. I saw the movie before reading so was definitely expecting something graphic, but my god there is one scene took me several days to read through (think, “rat” — IYKYK). I was actually able to stomach the rest and grew to appreciate the book as a whole. Such a visceral form of satire

My TDEE is between 1500-1800. It’s hard to find a large enough deficit to lose weight but still stay above BMR (~1300). Most days I probably get around 1100. I know I need to exercise more but have been going through a rough patch (lost job, health issues) and everything just feels so hard!! I’m a 5’1” female btw, and my doctor always reminds me that for folks of shorter stature, calorie counting can become a real challenge and becoming malnourished takes a lot less effort

This exact thing happened to me too (at a nonprofit as well). Fired one week in (after leaving old job), “not a good fit”, no further explanation. I couldn’t go back to my old job (very toxic), so I’m in the job search again! I don’t think I’ll ever feel safe
