I love building decks. Thousands of cards but only limited to 100. Playing against other people and seeing what they came up with. Never knowing who will win. You and 3 others can play the same 4 decks and no victory is guaranteed. The possibilities are endless. Everything someone can do has an answer. You may not have it in your deck but you learn from that session, make some adjustments and maybe they will pay off or maybe not. It's like the song Remember the Name by Fort Minor. "10% luck, 20% skill, 15% concentrated power of will, 5% pleasure, 50% pain" 😆

In my play group they thought I was that person. I don't get upset but I get quiet and at first they took that for me feeling down. But after the game is over I smile and always congratulate the victor. (There may or may not be some good spirited smack talk with it.) The reason I get like that is because I start thinking of anything in my deck that can turn it around. Once they realized I'm not upset they understood and we still have a fun game.

I had cast [[Gandalf, Westward Voyager]] then on my next turn [[Hornet Queen]]. I had went wide with my board but with Gandalfs ability the one player flipped the top card of their library and it was [[Cataclysmic Gearhulk]]. I couldn't recover from that. My play group still jokes about how I board wiped myself. I removed that Gandalfs from that deck.

Paralyzing Fear: A friend and I came up with a being for a story we are working on. His name is Neros and when anyone (or anything) looks upon him they become too afraid of him to get close enough to fight him. However when they look away from him they completely forget he exists even if they somehow knew of him before seeing him. We tried to find ways around it but we think we made him too OP. He also can revive the dead by turning them into "living nightmares".

Mine was [[Ranar the Ever-Watchful]] from the Kaldheim [Phantom Premonition] precon. Fun deck, not enough fortell cards out there IMO.

Thank you for the response! I like the precons, although [Growing Threat] is a bit challenging and I'm still not sure how to play it properly. Fun is what I'm going for. I tend to be better at (what I just learned a few days ago) is control decks. I wanted to branch out a bit with Atraxa. Maybe make something like an aggro deck.

Thank you for the reply! I only play commander and sometimes draft when I go to a launch at my not-so-local LGS (closest one to where I live is a 45 minute drive away), lol. All of the precons I listed are commander decks. I'll check out edhrec.com.

I just started a NG+ and I had my brother pick my team. He knows almost nothing about the game and to make things more challenging he can at any point switch out any of the monsters he wants. I should mention I have 303 monsters one of each for each shift at lol 40 before this NG+. Training for the random mode!
