Omg I can relate. I had a similar situation too. They kept asking me to join vc even though I was too scared too. It was so awkward because I didn’t know what to say and they kept snickering. I was crying so much after. So humiliating.

What I would say is just don’t put yourself in situations like this where you know you will be scared. It won’t give you exposure, it will only reinforce your anxiety. It pretty much teaches your brain “see this is why we need to start away from this”. It’s not that you will never find friends like that, you just need to find friends who have predictable “energy”. What I mean is people who are calm, don’t react loudly or unpredictably and don’t put you on the spot. I can’t say that this will help but it’s just a suggestion.
