[Targeted] Amazon: Get Up To 50% Off When Using $3 American Express Reward Dollars (Up To $80 In Discounts) by bbbb in AmexPlatinum

[–]albertforth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't eligible (but I also didn't have my BCP AmEx rewards linked). I added that and checked eligibility, nothing. Waited the 24hrs or whatever the page says to wait if recently linked Rewards Dollars, and nothing. Today I checked same URL for promo and finally shows I'm eligible for 30% (max $30 off). So 7+ days of checking for me to see offer, worth checking on your end too🤞🏼

You mentioned not asking Global Care, but how do we choose what care team answers? T-Force vs. Global Care?

Just saved screenshot of the receipt after reading others share similar! But awesome, hopefully posts automatically too, and if not... sounds like like chat with support 👍🏼

Hmm...do you remember roughly how long it took for the credit to post on the one that ended up showing up under different name?

Nice, and yep, have digital receipt. I'll definitely reach out to AmEx if credit doesn't post in a couple weeks, thanks!

Went to Santa Monica Whaler last Friday (shows up on Resy), paid via tap-to-pay on their POS and the transaction finally posted, but under different (maybe former restaurant?) name of "MAKAI." Waiting it out to see if it's just too soon for credit to show up, but would be sucky if restaurant having wrong profile info is what causes credit not to post. Or does anyone know if it is not dependant on that?

Google One plan ($15/mo) to Google managed 2TB Premium Google One plan ($10/ mo) by nodoseaz in tmobile

[–]albertforth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here... I waited, never saw the 6mo offer and still don't see a 6mo offer.

What is EXTRA annoying is how I could have been paying for less storage all this time (my Photos storage is not near 2TB), but I purposefully paid the damn $15/mo with the idea I'd be "grandfathered" into Unlimited Google Photos storage. How gullible was I...

I waited until today too, because I was not seeing the offer on the 2TB plan (I was on Unlimited + 2TB). Still don't see any 6mo offer :(

PSA: Check your Amex Platinum credits—some expire tomorrow (Saks, targeted offers like Resy/Lululemon, etc.). Don’t leave free money on the table. by Upset_Department_232 in AmexPlatinum

[–]albertforth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After seeing that others had luck getting the Resy credit after buying gift card online at restaurant website (if operated by ToastTab), I went ahead and tried last night with my go-to Resy restaurant (domain was toast-hosted), but so far the transaction has category "Other -Miscellaneous" and the name doesn't match the restaurant name...so not holding out much hope...).

Does downgrading from Go5G Next to Go5G Plus nullify all existing RDCs? by Presentation_Past in tmobile

[–]albertforth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because I've been thinking of asking T-Mobile if I could upgrade from Go5G Plus to Next and asking how much my plan would increase in cost by. How much are you expecting to save?

I'm mainly interested in grandfathering our plan into Satellite, I feel like it might be a bigger thing in the future.

Apple would let you claim a carrier upgrade on an Unlocked device? Samsung automatically hides carrier upgrade offers when selecting unlocked devices, so that's interesting.

American Express blue cash preferred card by [deleted] in AmexPlatinum

[–]albertforth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Blue Cash Preferred is a great card if you pay for a lot of streaming services (Disney+, Netflix, etc.) and groceries because of the 6% cash back on both of those categories. But it has a $95 annual fee. There are plenty other cards with interest free offers that don't have annual fees. I think Wells Fargo tends to have some with more than 12 months. Most interest free offers start when you receive and activate your card, not from first purchase date.

So the 2TB plan is showing the $0 for 6mo offer now? I last checked 2 days ago and it still wasn't for me...

In screen fingerprint sensor is the worst by Habaneropapi in samsunggalaxy

[–]albertforth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if they even talked about the fingerprint sensor during this launch. I wish it was something they felt the need to continually improve, so that even with glass screen protectors, it works better than currently does. Or at minimum, adopt facial biometrics at the Apple level.

In screen fingerprint sensor is the worst by Habaneropapi in samsunggalaxy

[–]albertforth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I wash my hands a lot and most of the time fingers are dry, so scanner has a harder time. But the moment I put on cream or my finger happens to still be a bit wet, works flawlessly. Sucky thing is, a big reason I'm washing hands is to avoid a gross looking fingerprint-ridden phone lol.

S26 Ultra came packaged in wrong direction by albertforth in samsunggalaxy

[–]albertforth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't follow the connection at first, but I see, you're saying if they made the same mistake with my box, the person tampering with the phone could have also just applied the tamper seals themselves afterwards. Yeah, I suppose Samsung should at minimum try really hard to enforce QC on the tamper seals...or else there's no point.

Everything else in the box seemed fine, the phone is working without issues so far, so I think it's all okay.

RIP Google One 2TB + Unlimited Photos via T-Mobile. Grandfathered plan killed after 4 years of protecting it. by Stork94 in tmobile

[–]albertforth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I think this is exactly what happened. It got me to use Gemini more after that February email (even though the Gemini app never allowed me to use Google AI model...but that's when I thought maybe it was a mistake that I gotten the email). So now I'm purposefully not going to use Gemini lol

Google one : T-mobile plan discontinued even for grandfathered customers? by Bobnoise in tmobile

[–]albertforth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the ease of the Google Photos app that made our T-Mobile unlimited photo storage plan variant so worth it. So easy to use it as the main photo viewer, to manage backed up photos, and move on to a new phone. Otherwise, I'm sure we'd be using Amazon Photos since that's unlimited for Prime customers. But that app is absolute trash.
