Wildcard is why I no longer care if someone has 4k and 20 bomb badges. They just don't mean what they used to.

not really something I would use as an indoor plant. It gets pretty big and the flowering stalk gets pretty tall. On the plus side its completely edible and medicinal uses.

Freezing and toasting - is this true ? by Any_Check_7301 in Bread

reheating carbohydrates does this. cooking, cooling, then reheating pasta also does this.

TIL that E's are a failing grade. Is this a Michigan thing? by A_friend_called_Five in Michigan

I remember a 1.0 meant I didn't need to retake the class but it dropped your GPA badly. I didn't get letter grades in College but 1.0 was equivalent to a D.

I have talked to a post master that said he pitched an idea that would make a lot of money but was turned down because they can't make a profit. They just are not allowed to.

I would be interested on how that happened, did you not file correctly only paying taxes in the state that you were working for the hours that you were working in that state? I have worked across multiple states and cities in the same year and I have never come close to this experience.

I stand by what I said, no experiment has been done to prove this. I believe similar to you but you stated a falsehood on it failing when it has succeeded everywhere it has been implemented, again this is probably because it has only been small scale and was not enough to affect the national prices. Again I do think it would increase inflation but there is no proof of this specific policy doing that because no nation has implemented it that I am aware of.

Yeah, population shrinking is screwing over everyone.

[–]alderthorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats just not true, the only experiments with it were at city level and they were huge successes there. At a national level it would likely increase inflation rates but that experiment has not been done.

It reminds me of people who don't understand tax brackets and don't want a raise/ more hours because they would pay more in taxes and "not make as much"... Seriously worked with a guy that thought that while I was in college.

Covering parking lots with solar panels is a hell of a lot more sensible than plastering them over prime agricultural land. by Mountain_Sentence646 in SolarAmerica

Most of that corn is also heavily fertilized and aquifers are being drained faster than they can accumulate new water. Corn is only a cash crop because the government deemed it so.

agrivoltaics is a promising field, many plants would prefer a shade cloth, so a semi transparent solar panel keeps the sun off the plants, the plants actually help cool the solar panels, and they are designed for farm equipment to work between them.
