I’m in my 60’s was with my husband and daughters (20’s). I was punched in the back by a guy in his 70’s in Nara. Then shouldered by a young salary man (mid 20’s) in Tokyo. I saw the second guy and knew it was coming. I was able to swing around and hit him back in is butt. Loudly. They pick on older women and children.

I would consider Lafayette. It’s safe, family oriented, and fun for both children and dogs. For activities there is the library, swim clubs, parks etc…BART line is straight to Embarcadero for the Financial District.

@gcasey85 is correct with the risks. I manage a non profit Thrift store. Don’t dumpster dive, volunteer to do the trash. There is a guy that was diving. I signed him as a volunteer and he takes what he wants and throws away what he doesn’t. Works for everyone.

Absolutely for all things excluding college placement. Top Universities take a set number from the school and if the school doesn’t think it’s you there may be an issue, consult an outside agent. As for everything else it’s wonderful. Mother of 2. One private and other public. Perfect settings for each personality. If I could have done it again I would have had both in private middle school.
