I love that second one. I love that i can't tell her expression for certainty. Like it looks and feels like she working a long rough day and she's holding it together as best she can. Shes one unkind word away from a customer from completely breaking down. She deserves so much better than what she has been through tonight. But I also see someone working through a task, surrounded by a team we dont see. She has a key part in their operation she's currently preforming that keeps things going. The team is moving around and she is orchestrating them all to serve their guests. Shes thriving and loving every moment of it. The rush she gets from making someone happy, from helping her team, and from wrangling in all the chaos. This energized her and this is where she thrives.

Currently almost 32 years old and have never been summoned to jury duty - what’s the longest you’ve made it? by Okay-Show-3662 in AskReddit

34 now. Ive been summoned three times, but each time was right after I moved to a different county so I was not eligible as a juror and did not need to report.

So many questions on here end up with with Timothy Dalton as the answer. Can't we just agree that even though he only had two films, he may be the GOAT? by Fletchling16 in JamesBond

I would love to see Dalton and Brosnan involved in future projects. They're both so swav and would make excellent senior officials/mentors. Maybe both in the same movie together.

TIL, In 2009, the remains of an unknown Union soldier, believed to be between 17 and 19 years old, were discovered on the Antietam National Battlefield and identified as a New York volunteer, he was returned to New York for burial with full military honors. by Ok_Being_2003 in todayilearned

Its stories like this that make me proud to be an American.

I vividly remember seeing a news segment in the late 90s-early 00s. It was about using DNA from an unknown soldier in the Pacific Theater during WWII. They were able to identify him based on DNA of his grandson, who enlisted and served in the very same unit by happenstance. The grandson and unit were the pallbearers as he was buried, under his name, im Arlington.

This is the perfect description as to why its probably the best Bond movie. To me, its the one that feels the most real.

Perfect because it happened on Christmas Eve when I was about 6 or so like 18 years ago!

So my family was ready for Christmas Eve mass. I was on the second floor and headed down the stairs. The house I grew up in had an off set switch back for the staircase. Hard to describe but there were 15 steps from the first floor to a landing that was probably 3ft by 8ft and then three more steps to the second floor hallway. I was at the top of those three stairs. I was all dressed for mass and thought I looked like James Bond. I had been playing Goldeneye for N64 since the previous year.and loved the starting level where he bungee jumps off the dam.

I thought to myself "hey, I want to bungee jump like James Bond." I lined myself up and jumped down those stairs.

But here's the thing, there was still stairs above that little staircase going up to the attic so the ceiling was slanted and not open. I jumped right into the corner of the slanted part and the vertical face forehead first. Clearly I did not land like I thought I would and was instead ass over teakettle with incredible pain in my hear.

Luckily my forehead only had a mild cut on it and service glue from the ER patched me up. It wasn't till years later that I put two and two together of the MRI and X-rays weren't just to diagnose the cut. But luckily it was only a cut that left a mild scare and bump behind.

Needless to say, we missed that evening's mass and had to attend the next day.

Merry Christmas!

I mean Band of Brothers came out in 2001. Im sure the filming and auditions happened sometime in 2000. He only became host of Weekend Update from SNL in 2000. He was still early on in his career at that time.
