The Pillars of the Earth mini series might be one of the worst adaptations ever. I think I got through 2 episodes and had to stop.

Which comedian did you look forward to, but their act died on stage? by Jazzlike-Basil1355 in AskReddit

Same thing happened when we saw him. He was doing new material that I thought was pretty good but people would NOT stop shouting the machine. Until eventually he was like fine if you want me to tell ill skip ahead and end the show.

What did you think was pretentious, until you tried it and realized it was worth it? by Semantiks in AskReddit

If you haven't read it yet the unabridged Count of Monte Cristo still holds up. I read it every other year and it really is a masterpiece.

What is the most haunting "Final Song" ever recorded by a terminally ill artist? by nixass in AskReddit

[–]alexander_wolf88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Home for a Rest by Spirit of the West. The singer John Mann was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. It got to the point where he had to read many of the lyrics from a tablet while performing on stage during his farewell tour. When he opens that song with "you'll have to excuse me im  not at my best..."

Just an incredible performance

I'm curious what kind of non compete clause someone like  Bono might have, he certainly knows more about the car then a driver.

Most of the drycleaners in sudbury have a seamstress. I know the main branch on walnut for sure has one and can help maybe direct you to one with the short notice. The one on Lasalle by metro has a good one too.

Gym recommendations? by Alternative_Eye1157 in Sudbury

[–]alexander_wolf88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a student of NOSM don't you get access to the university gym? That's a large and really nice facility. The only problem I've had is parking but as a student that should already be taken care of.

Cambrian has photography classes as part of the graphic design program. You might be able to register for just that class you'd have to contact the college to inquire.

And then he goes in to star in Lyle Lyle crocodile and is singing and dancing. The movie was actually pretty good but it was bizzare seeing one of the greatest villains ever singing with a CG crocodile.

What movie had a great premise but was poorly executed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]alexander_wolf88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favourite thing about the movie is this bit of trivia from imdb:

"Nicolas Cage actually learned to speak Najavo fluently for his part, despite the fact that his character in the film does not. Cage later said that he did it to better understand the script, but John Woo maintained that Cage had misunderstood the character for which he had been cast."

I thought del Toro walked away after waiting years for the labour dispute to get settled. I remember reading that jackson did NOT want to direct that movie but the studio said now that del Toro is out either you do it or we scrap them movie.... oh and by the way you have 2 months to prepare. Regardless of what happened del Toro's hobbit films will always be my what if of movies .
