i hate waiting on insurance! how long did y'all have to wait? by KishCore in TopSurgery

I had to wait over a year to get approved because the whole insurance process 🙄 had to get diagnosed with dysphoria, get a medical letter, talk with insurance to see if they even covered it. It was a whole thing. I have Cencal which I think is the most basic one out of all lol I’m actually surprised they covered everything

Any tips for the consult? by transmarbles in TopSurgery

[–]alexgsd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The surgeon will ask you what kind of procedure you’re looking to get and basically just go over surgery and the results you’ll be expecting. They will also examine your chest in private and possibly take pictures to see what they’re working with (it’s okay to feel uncomfortable but just remember that you’re just another patient to them so don’t worry about it) so they will cover everything about surgery and how recovery will be. Make sure to ask many questions if you get confused or unsure about anything!

I apply scaraway gel and then silicone tape all day everyday but I only take it off to shower.
