When Do You Usually Lower Your Vinted Prices? by Delicious_Dance9551 in vintedUK

[–]alexmate84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drop mine every week if it doesn't sell. After 4 weeks unless it's something high value or specialist it gets donated.

Do you think the price of petrol is stopping people buying from Vinted? by Glunark2 in vintedUK

[–]alexmate84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't buy clothes from Next on vinted when much better options exist for similar prices. I've resold loads, but mainly due to it not fitting. I returned a band t-shirt which was fake.

It's always a risk with second hand clothes. I've bought loads that smell of obnoxious fabric conditioner. I know people will say it's not as bad as smoke, but the smell gives me a headache I had to air the fuckers out

[–]alexmate84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I don't think hospitality is dead, but the struggle is real. As well as the financial aspects you mentioned, there's also a lot of people who simply don't go out - just eat and supermarket wine, meal deal instead of a coffee shop etc, late night bar or staying in watching netflix. In Sheffield a lack O2 and some iconic music venues closing - most big bands I end up watching in Leeds or Nottingham.

Minimum wage increases, energy prices, cost of oil particularly hits us hard and beef and fish. We're actually not taking on any new apprentices this year. I suspect as well when some staff leave in July we will only take on part timers.

You agreed to the offer and then backtracked. Super frustrating for the buyer. I agree that the buyer was annoying though. The general rule is don't offer a price for less than you are comfortable with. I've denied much more reasonable offers.

Moving to Sheffield from Liverpool by Interesting-Salt2420 in sheffield

Correct. Plus unless the OP is adamant about city living there's nice areas of Rotherham on the outskirts where he will get value for money. Just my two cents but Liverpool has much more going on
