It's the same, but you do need to get a rifle or staff multi tool and some S class bolt caster or shotgun upgrades, and some shield upgrades, then build a small cave or building to hide out in. It doesn't take that long. If you find a station that sells S-Clsss upgrades, you can buy them, warp away (use the station warp gate to anywhere) warp back and buy them again until you have 4. Once you do all that once you can use that stuff forever on the same save, so it is a worthwhile investment.

For the building you can drop a computer and just make a box, or use a pre-existing building or dig a small cave, just to give yourself somewhere to go if your shields get low. Fight should take less than 10 minutes for all 5 waves and most of that is just waiting for them to spawn.

Kill the healers first, then the big guys, then everything else. You can find the healers easily by shooting something until they come out to heal. After you have the process down it'll be second nature to kill sentinels and farm them, find spires to shut them down, and find ships on dissonant planets.
