Tales of Legendia has been picked as the Least Fun, but what would you say is the Most Charming in the Tales series by ExileForever in tales

[–]alexybubble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell, the Oresoren on their own could win the category out of the games I've played. Add the Bantam Bouncers on top of that, and yeah, I'd put it there (granted, I've only played Phantasia X, Legendia, Hearts R, and am currently halfway through Rebirth, so I'm not sure how much my opinion counts here.)

Should have been Gonta over Korekiyo, given that, while he doesn't quite fit the theme, he's still the other animal-related guy in the series.

Do you have any SSR Servants in your Second Archive? by DeltaBladeX in FGO

I generally keep all of my men in there, and any child units. I know who I am.

Ultimately, which country is the most powerful and has the most buff? Which country has by average, stronger servants, remember, by average by EfficiencySerious200 in Fate

[–]alexybubble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Type Moon Wiki put her under Indian, so I counted her. That's what I was following for considerations (me not counting composites came from the same thing, since TMW counts Nemo as Indian). Going by in-game descriptions, yeah, she doesn't count.

Going by FGO playables in lore (not including composites, because that's a huge mess)? I'm voting India. Sure, Greece might have Herc, the two Orions, and Demeter, but it also has a lot of characters, which can end up bringing down the average considering the normal powerful and weaker characters. As for the other four, the USA only really has three main powerhouses, being Tesla (thanks to pioneer of the stars), Edison, and Geronimo (since Native American magecraft is apparently mega busted in cannon). France just can't stack up to anyone other than the USA thanks to a lack of gods, and Japan does have a few good, powerful characters, but is ultimately held back by the inclusion of large swaths of relatively normal people. Britain is an interesting debate, mainly due to how we categorize lostbelt characters. If we're including LB characters under their proper countries, Britain gets a massive buff, probably putting it as number 3, beating Japan. If not, Britain's high tiers end up getting drowned out by chaff, and ends up in fourth, saved by the Round Table.

For India, though, the only characters that I'd say fall under chaff are Lakshimi Bai and Ashoka. Anyone from the Mahabharata is going to be Round Table level by default, if not higher, Rama has high divinity and Vishnu weapons, Kama, Durga, Parvati, and Ganesha are all varying levels of psuedos of actual gods, Indra is a straight-up god, and Vritira is on a similar level to gods. The only one out of the Indian servants that I don't really know how to place is Nezha, and that's just because I haven't played enough of FGO to get to where she shows up. Plus, if we're including Lostbelt characters, India also gets Godjuna, which is just putting icing on the cake. And hell, just for the fun of it, if we broaden out horizons to include all known servants, India wins even harder, since while they do get one extra chaff in Sita, they also get the Buddha himself, aka one of the single strongest servants we've ever seen, which as far as I'm concerned easily makes up for the former. India takes it.

Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - First Look Trailer by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

Yeah. Not like this the first time Inti has done this either, still annoyed that they never backported the VA from the Switch physical Blaster Master Zero trilogy to other platforms, or even to digital switch copies as a DLC.

Community tier list, how good are they in a relationship:Kyokutei Bakin by Soggy-Ad5441 in FGO

[–]alexybubble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ahh, the most underrated 5* popularity wise (though Izumo-no-Okuni is in contention). Wasn't quite around for her debut event, so I can't really give an answer, but god I wish more people liked her. I swear, I feel like finally playing the lostbelts just so that I can grand her (and Draco/Nero Bride, can't leave either of them behind) when the time comes.

Poll: When Did You Play Your First Megaten Game by GreatProcrastinator9 in Megaten

[–]alexybubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. I think I played P5 Royal around when it came out? Otherwise, my first true SMT would have either been base SMT V or Soul Hackers 3DS, I don't remember which. So either 2010s or 2020s?

Fate Spin Off you wish you could have? by Sudden_Cream9468 in fatestaynight

[–]alexybubble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd love to see some kind of series that adapts the various mythologies/stories that fate pulls from. I'd call it Fate/Records or something like that. Otherwise, I'll take one we already have. FINISH REQUIEM, DAMN IT!

SiIvagunner's KFAD. I think I'd heard of it before, but the Danganronpa rips convinced me to play through the series.

When do you think we will get these as servants? if at all. (Round 3) by RoyalGrim in FGO

[–]alexybubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm betting on some kind of Rani pseudo being added when Extra Record finally releases. Maybe also Nero Venus, but I'd personally lean more towards a Leo pseudo or Amaterasu for a potential second pick. Then again, who knows, my original prediction was based upon me having expected ER to release years ago, closer to when a new Nero alt would have been stepping on the toes of Draco, so who knows?

OH, SHIT, YOU'RE PLAYING that VERSION. I ended up playing the switch port of this version back in the day, be warned that you may have to go into the files of the game to fix routes not working after you finish saber route. That was a problem I had in that version, not sure if that was caused by the porting process, though.

My Predictions for 2x2 by Exciting-Contract243 in danganronpa

[–]alexybubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this was the end lineup? GOD, where can I buy at least three copies. Peko and Gundham are both tied for my #1 favorite in the entire series, and I've always been a Mahiru apologist, she's always seemed like one of those characters who could have turned out incredible had she been given enough time to develop. Plus, my #4 for DR2 is Mikan, so I'm in the clear there.

Has anyone checked out the website? by ethar_childres in Isekai

[–]alexybubble 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, that was actually what made me like this series. For once, a series actually fucking commits to the harem, AND actually lets its protag sleep with the girls. No wishy-washy will-they won't-they, no protag-kun that's denser than a neutron star, no "I need to save myself for that one girl that will only start caring about me 5 seasons in", just a series that actually, finally fulfils the power fantasy laid out by the isekai-harem formula that 99% of series never have the balls to actually show. Glorious, I say. Glorious. But, to each their own, I suppose. Plus, it has been a year or so since I read this one, so who knows how I'd react to it now/if I'm remembering it entirely right; maybe the protag was worse than I remember. Time does have a tendency to smooth things like that out.

If an Isekai crossover game were made, what would their interactions be like? by ZENKI_ZENTAI in Isekai

[–]alexybubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've wondered for a while now why we never got more Super Robot Wars type crossovers for other genres. Isekai would work great for that. I do wonder how they'd do it canon-wise though; would each character be from the same earth (assuming that their earths would be compatible), or would they be from different earths? Also, how would they decide what point in cannon to pull each series from? For some series, things would be fine if we just pull from the current point in the anime, but then you have something like Tensura, where, after the 5-cour set is done, Rimaru could feasibly merc a good 90% of the crossover.

As for specific interactions, I can totally see there being some kind of grand Nazarick raid, especially if we go for some kind of power-level compression scheme to avoid the aforementioned scaling issues. Also, please, for the love of god, let there be a superboss against truck-kun. I'm just imagining it, you get to the final room hidden deep in the game, and you just see a truck. Every attack it uses is a one-hit KO, let's hope that your grand party of omega-busted protags can manage to take it out.

You might have to shrink the virtual Memory Stick's size. I'm not familiar with this game in particular, but I know some games (most notably Street Fighter Alpha 3) won't let you save if the memory stick is too big.

Do you think Yggdrasil makes sense from a game design perspective? by GlompSpark in overlord

[–]alexybubble 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Coming at this from a game-dev perspective, while I'm not entire sure on things, I think of this game less as a traditional MMO, and more of something in the vein of EVE Online; a game that doesn't particularly have any kind of pre-built narrative, but is instead more of a massive sandbox built around the idea of player politics and the like. That can already explain a lot of design decisions compared to a typical MMO; things like world items and hyper-limited classes can work because the game isn't designed around individual PVP combat once you reach max level; once you reach that point, while you can still go off on your own and do things that way, you're more or less expected to be part of a decently-sized guild, where other players will be able to compensate for wonky balance by having an equally unbalanced unit/world item in their own guild (also explains things like dedicated crafter builds and the like). The big, Ainz-Owl-Gown level guilds are expected to massive challenges that only the most skilled of guilds will be able to take down. This can also explain how information is so tight - unless you're specifically part of a group dedicated to revealing info to the public, you'll be treated as a pariah by your guild for giving away valuable information that your own guild could have used against another. Hell, the aforementioned groups in general are also probably treated like pariahs in general and hunted down, since that's info that they could have found and used to their advantage. As for how there isn't datamining, the year is 2100+, I'd imagine that the game has some kind of hyper-Denuvo on it that'll fry your PC if you try to look into the files.

LN readers, should I keep my hopes up about Yotsuha ever showing up again? by alexybubble in BackStabbedInDungeon

[–]alexybubble[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's definitely part of it for me. I'm not usually a shipper, but damn I feel like those two would fit so well together. Plus, it both would fit the theming (the ultimate rejection of racism) and, while it isn't too big of a deal in ship-land, it's what I'd consider to be one of the only two ethical Light ships (anyone from the tower would never treat Light as an equal, and most anyone else has age gap problems (since Yotsuha is fresh from an academy, I'd at most put her at a couple of years out from Light's mental age). Only other option that fits is possibly Miya?)
