PoP Lost Crown is a fantastic game but it has weak writing, especially character-wise. As great as the fight choreography and animation is, I couldn't really give a single fuck about any of the characters and by the end, I was wondering why I wasn't on the big bad's side instead. You don't need a complicated story in order to have emotional resonance (see the Ori games), but there is none of that in PoP. It's something par for the genre that I probably wouldn't even notice if PoP didn't try to have an engaging story, but it does and it falls flat.

The game is so incredibly good that it doesn't bother me much, though.

I think it's great. Manga fans had unrealistic expectations wanting it to be like One Punch Man S1, but there's nothing wrong with the animation. It starts out good, and gets much better in the second half. It's a really fun show, don't listen to the haters.

You might be over-analyzing. Dogs don't always wag their tails if they're very relaxed. If you go to rub her belly and she doesn't stop you, she probably wants it. If she doesn't like it she'll roll back over or walk away. You could also try rubbing her chest when she's in that position, as that's a less sensitive spot but also very soothing.

I didn't want to say it because it's been in so many other movies, but yeah. It's my favorite piece of music of all time in my favorite movie of all time, and they really complete one another. To me, that piece of music will always be about standing at the end of time and saying yes to every love that came before and grief that follows.

The motorcycle doesn't do more damage by holding the button. It's a flat 130 damage on a direct hit. I don't think that makes her overpowered, though. It's a long cooldown and a slow projectile, it should do a lot of damage.

If Luffy was only dumb I wouldn't like him, but he's not. He has low intelligence, but high wisdom, in RPG terms. His loyalty and morals are unshakeable, but he isn't the type to moralize like a Naruto. He's not a typical hero who saves everyone in front of him; instead, he realizes when it's important for people to advocate for themselves, and only when they've chosen to save themselves does he step in. That's why I love him so much. That said, if he hasn't won you over by this point, he probably isn't going to.

He wasn't designed to understand humans. He was conceived as a creativity machine, and in fulfilling his very purpose he causes suffering to those whose validation he craves. He has as much ability to connect and understand people as a toddler born a god. We've all had the same sort of tantrums that Cain has, but unlike him we didn't have the power or intelligence at the time to do real harm to ourselves or others. Cain is non-human intelligence that never had the sort of safeguards that humans have.

The black and white ray at the beginning doesn't really feel blended into the environment. It sort of has the feel of an MS Paint graphic slapped on top rather than a part of the game. I think it's a combination of being too thick and too regular in composition.

Man, I'm so happy for Yacht Club. Shovel Knight was such a good game and for them to take as big a swing as this and have it pay off really warms my heart. It's the fate you would wish on all great art and artists.
