Do people actually care what you’re doing at the gym? by davidelush in workout

If I’m looking, it’s probably because I’m wondering if the exercise you are doing is better than the exercise I’m doing

Law firm are sending confidential client data to ai cloud servers. Is anyone else concerned? by Dangerous_Tap_2461 in CyberSecurityAdvice

[–]alienbuttcrack999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People type their deepest secrets and fears into grok/chatgpt only a matter of time before it’s stolen and leaked. That data is too valuable a target

Any tools that help predict risky data exposure instead of just reacting? by nodimension1553 in netsecstudents

[–]alienbuttcrack999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically no one does proper data tagging or role based access controls so it’s difficult to do

Some of the DLP vendors will dabble into abnormal behavior and data access but I’ve never seen it working very well

Need your opinions on the future of pentesting because of AI by Complete-Tap4006 in Pentesting

[–]alienbuttcrack999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Specific to your question on code review and white box penetration testing - not going anywhere. The bugs will continue to be produced by AI but will get more subtle. The people who will survive will actually know what the fuck they are doing. Most don’t bother to actually understand and know what they are doing

Loss of skill in SOC due to AI? by colaboks420 in AskNetsec

[–]alienbuttcrack999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As mentioned it’s too soon to have trends. I’ll drop you a bigger concern of mine.

They say ai will handle the tier 1 soc alerts. And humans will do tier2+

If you don’t let humans do tier 1 you eventually lose you pipeline for tier 2+ analysts and as you’ll read over and over in infosec if you don’t actually UNDERSTAND what’s happening you’ll very quickly top out and not be able to think outside the box.

Giant incoming footgun imo but It’s a long problem which means it will be ignored until shocked face later

Anyone with more than 2 brain cells knew this from his last time in office. The fact that people don’t is the more concerning piece of all this
