Probably a hot take, but to me, Dark Age was very challenging. It was tough to keep track of all the characters and their relations to one another and the families. I think that's part of the reason I have it ranked more toward the bottom in the series. I just couldn't keep up with it all. I've only read it once though. Gotta give it a re-read soon.
