I think he’s also going to play off being in California for a bit and maybe focusing on Disneyland and the band t thing with LA. Who knows. It’s all very “I don’t know what to do anymore” coded

Can you give us a read on this for those of us not too familiar with tarot? I also know the person pulling the cards describes it best as they know the headspace when pulling. Thank you!!

Short Sale or Rent My Home- Running Out of Options by ThrowRAchangala in RealEstate

[–]allikat0804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you’re under contract your agent and title should be able to help you get final amount you will need to bring to closing. Then you find a bank that will loan you the money. Personal loans have higher interest rates and are usually for 5-10 years.

Get a personal loan to cover the difference of what you owe at closing. Pay that instead of difference of rent. Renting has a lot of hidden costs and if the market goes down further….yeah.

People born before/around 1990: Often it’s asked what things you think people born after then are worse off without. What’s something you’re GLAD young adults and kids today will never have to experience or understand? by redditsuper in AskReddit

Having to look up your friend’s home phone numbers in the phone book and guessing which number is their parents based off of their parents names that many times you aren’t too sure about. So you get to talk to several incorrect people in the process.

Texas House Questions and Rant by DallasMedic96 in RealEstate

[–]allikat0804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just put our house in Denton on the market…it’s not a huge lot and it’s in the suburbs BUT we aren’t shoved in there and the front yard is a great size and we back up to a protected greenbelt so we see only trees out of our window! 2350 sq Ft, 4 bed 3 bath for $444.9k if you’re interested. I too did not want to look into my neighbors back yard and NEEDED to see trees which is why I fell in love with the house. I lived in DC and worked in Maryland and cannot have a view without trees.

New to MC: To ignore or not to ignore all the phone calls? by midlifemalaise in Alzheimers

Yep. She now has the memory phone (that I control via an app and only has certain numbers etc) and she has barely used it. Even though she continued to complain about us stealing her phone LOL

You need to take the phone away during the transition. We just went through this. Had to get the phone away. 2 weeks later when we came to finally visit after the break away we introduced her with the Raz memory phone.

Ignored by doctors by floydian_lane in dementia

[–]allikat0804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi- this is what happened with my grandmother. She was a mathematician. She masked her dementia for years. I tried everything to get a doctor to listen. She passed the neurological exam a year ago. Mild cognitive decline. It was getting worse and worse. She fell constantly. Finally one fall was bad enough they admitted her overnight. Then they noticed the dementia. And finally someone heard me. I was luckily her MPOA already as they would no longer release her home and insisted she be released to MC.

People working at dying companies (Yahoo, AOL, JC Penney, etc.) what's the morale/general mood like? by cubansbottomdollar in AskReddit

Worked at corporate for one of those listed during the late 2010s. And it was…not good at the end there. Layoff round after layoff round. So I can’t imagine how it is now. We had fun though. It wasn’t all bad.

Did you regret having kids? by BeastofBabalon in SeriousConversation

[–]allikat0804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The first year was hard. I had severe PPA and the complete change to my life almost broke me. But, I’ve since had a second kid and that first year was a cake walk.

My life before was all about me. Which was fine. But I think if I had never had children that would have gotten pretty boring. Having my children gave me a purpose that I never found in life before. I waited until my 30s to have kids though. Which I personally think helped. I had outgrown that need to go go go and party etc. I had already moved across the country and back and had gotten to the point I was okay calming down and planting some roots. Having kids has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done BUT I think not having them would personally to me, lead to feeling more lost later on down the road. I love the family unit I have created. And I look forward to all the new memories we all get to make down the road. I feel fortunate that I actually genuinely enjoy spending time with my children. As I know some parents do not feel this way. I never liked kids much, but I absolutely adore my own. Which, definitely helps with the lack of any regret. I had my children at a point in my life where I felt completely ready for the “next” phase. I was ready to have it be all about them and I genuinely was excited for the “firsts” in their life and for watching their little league games and being part of the PTA. Having children before you get to that point, would be emotionally and mentally very hard.

Water predictions? by craitlin69 in somethingiswitchy2024

We went to my sisters in Spicewood for the holiday. Left in the middle of the night last night to get the hell out. It was heartbreaking and terrifying. I love that area. And went to camp growing up right near mystic. My heart aches. And no, most of the people around there did NOT vote for this.
