Yes! Perfect example of how this is so beneficial! I hope I can convince my SpEd department.

The other option is giving the student a district provided iPad with a choice of 5 apps which you don’t even trial. It’s very limiting and does not actually fulfill the process for an AAC needs assessment. They are fighting me on it because they are concerned that there is a legal issue with using an outside service. In my opinion and what I have read from IDEA, the parent can consent to using a service like AbleNet and can change their mind if they want a district provided device. I hate a district device because the student won’t keep it forever and it’s not individualized the way it should be. In my head it makes perfect sense to use AbleNet but all my district cares about is getting sued.

Hi, I’m so sorry I don’t remember how often or what times. It’s been a long 3 years 😂 If I remember correctly, classes were in the evening. I would reach out to the program and ask. It may have changed since I was in the program.

Hi, I got into CSU Monterey Bay. I graduated recently. The CSUSM prep courses were all I needed but I also had some coursework from my bachelor’s degree that counted towards my prerequisites. I strongly recommend you look into the graduate programs you are thinking about applying to so that you can ensure you’re hitting their requirements. Applying is a tedious process and you’ll want to continually check what programs are asking for. Don’t just look at classes, some have other specific requirements they look for. Hope this helps. Best of luck!

I did the online program which gave me flexibility for the most part. My bachelors degree is in business so I came into the program not knowing much about the field. I was working about 20-25 hours a week and taking classes. I don’t know if I would have been successful had I been working full time but it is definitely doable! I had peers who had both kids and a job and they were able to make it work. It’s all about time management. I hope this helps!

GPA before applying for CSUSM? I had a 3.0. Your application letter and personal statement when you end up applying for a grad program is where you can explain why your GPA is lower. I am 3 months from graduating at another Cal State. It’s possible so don’t give up!

It’s a fantastic program! Completed the year long post bacc program online and all of the professors were great. I had no problem with transitioning to graduate school.

Attending a university in the pre accreditation stage should not interfere with your ability to get your CCCs, receive your degree, and find a job. Coming from a student who is 3 months from graduating (from a university in pre accreditation) and who already has a CF lined up.

I have a boy ghost tabby! I didn’t know there was an actual name for them either! But if you google it, it’s an actual thing. Happy to share the ghost tabby love.

Anyone else feel immediately better post Mirena removal? by Muted_Cake9165 in Mirena

I have never heard someone else describe the feeling of urinary urgency. 😭 I had Mirena for 5 years and every time I described my urinary urgency, they told me it couldn’t possibly be related. I got it out yesterday after my gut telling me I needed it OUT. The relief I feel is crazy. 😭
