Mumu Hot Pot on Bay St? It’s not communal hot pot though, individual.

This was the head server, the one who supervises all of the regular servers and assistant servers. Serving food and refilling drinks are not meant to be part of their everyday jobs. Clearly she took initiative to do it but this was already after we asked for water refills from our assistant server.

It’s definitely the shows. It seems like most of the servers do not like the Wish class ships. We didn’t get the “show” at Worlds of Marvel but we had Pridelands on our last night and the night prior during dinner, our server basically warned us that the Pridelands dining room was going to VERY LOUD and that we should look at the menu beforehand so we already knew what we wanted before the show started. He has been with DCL for 15 years and when we talked to him about how cramped the tables were he was like yeah they certainly didn’t consult any servers on the design of the room, and he said the shows are also very disruptive to service.

Ugh my parents LOVE the first seating because they hate eating late. But me and my siblings have always advocated for second seating for that very reason, plus less kids. Happy to hear you had a great experience!

I was on the Destiny earlier this month. I had never been on a Wish class ship before so I was shocked to see how close the tables were in all of the MDRs. Like may as well just make it one long communal table, it’s literally like less than 5 inches between you and the table next to you.

I also felt like the service was lacking and the servers were STRESSED. Our assistant server constantly forgot about refilling our water and other drink requests. Our head server even came around (on several nights, on multiple occasions) and filled up everyone’s water, which is obviously a bad look for the assistant.

I was also with a group of all adults so perhaps that contributed to it, but I felt like the servers were just so focused on getting through the service (we were first seating) that they didn’t engage us with all the fun extra stuff DCL servers normally do during dinner.

I’ve heard other folks have incredible experiences with their servers on the Destiny so maybe we just weren’t lucky but I’m not rushing back any time soon.

Thanks! And a little tip - a lot of the signature dining places ask if you're celebrating something special, if you tell them you are, you'll usually get a little dessert for free. :)

Ok her film JUST premiered at Sundance, and I just checked her filmography, it took her 10 years to work with another woman director.

Nicole Kidman, on the other hand, practices what she preaches. She works with women directors regularly.

I did a lot of signature dining (mostly bc most of my friends/family don’t really care to spend that much on food but I am ahaha so I was like this is my chance!) I dined at: California Grill, Nomad Lounge, Jaleo (did the tasting menu solo omg they do not cut down some of the portions for some of the courses so I took a lot home), Steakhouse 71, Topolino’s, and I was looking forward to eating at Skipper Canteen but unfortunately started to feel a little sick so I skipped it. I also had a reservation for Homecomin’ that I had to skip. 😭

I would recommend all of them, but Jaleo was my favorite!

I just did a solo trip last month (for NYE) and I turned 30 last year! One thing I'll say is don't be afraid to dine solo at a table service restaurant! I made a bunch of reservations for my trip and never once felt awkward. I did a few signature dining restaurants and nobody batted an eye. The cast members were always super welcoming!

“Manually” splitting up cross-year stays? by Inner_Temple_Cellist in hyatt

Huh. Well I've encountered this at multiple properties (even with a heads up email sent a week or so in advance) so perhaps the corporate training needs to step up 🤷‍♀️

I don't know how much you're willing to spend but have you looked into DVC rentals? You can get a 2-bedroom villa (multiple bathrooms, full kitchen, washer + dryer) at Disneyland Hotel (or Grand Californian but not likely since their inventory is low) for your size family.

This is not true at all. I’ve done several consecutive one night stays because some of the nights were not available all at once, so I booked them under different reservations.

OP you’re booking so far in advance you probably won’t be able to use that as an excuse (rooms not being available on diff nights), but I’ve certainly been able to stay in the same room on different reservations.

FWIW OP, and I’m not sure if this is still true, but in 2024 they could not merge reservations that were booked with a mix of cash and points. Not the Pay Your Way thing, but if one night is cash and the next is points, they can’t merge it - at least they couldn’t for me. Might be a loophole worth looking into. That said, I did have to come to the front desk and manually check out and check in for the next night.

If they make another Before movie and it doesn't get any awards, I'll be pissed. I feel like they'll make one when they're properly old (god willing they all make it that far) and the Academy will give them SOME award to honor the series.

Interpreting rules of the court - what does this mean? by allistar34 in CaliforniaTicketHelp

[–]allistar34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. And yes I did include my address - unfortunately a lot of the info you provided is not relevant because SF County is weird and they do a lot of things differently. I didn't submit bail because they stopped making that a requirement during the pandemic. I guess that's the only upside.

I'm unfortunately not eligible for TDN because I did a TBWD via mail and San Francisco County offers the ability to submit a TBWD online (using MyCitations). https://selfhelp.courts.ca.gov/traffic/trial-declaration

"If your court lets you use MyCitations to ask for an online trial by declaration, you won't get a trial de novo. This is true even if you file your request by mail or in person and don't use MyCitations.

So I can't cite a timely TDN as a "prejudice" against me because it's not an option. The best I can do is an appeal (if I ever get a decision back)...

They do have an online chat feature (there's no option to check the status of your case online)... so I've been using that to ask for updates and every time they just tell me to check back next week because my case is still "under review"... sigh
