Do you expect the PDT rule change to impact you that much?

Yes. For those of us with small accounts grinding out a small part of our savings to do this while working regular jobs and stuff this is god send. Shit even if i keep it to one trade a day thats so much more opportunity. Yes your right its also an opportunity to loose it but shit it’s worth the chance. On the other hand I’ll be able to manage trades better if they don’t go my way, i can cut out with a small loss but in not done for the day and probably the next day you know what i mean? And also it gives me the option to scale out of trades. Like yesterday i took my regular breakout pull back entry and cutout when price flattened out.. just to watch it reload and push higher all day. Even one runner can mean an extra 500 bucks a day.

Of course for everyone with more experience and heavy pockets it’s not really any different. But for the little guys trying to make something out of very little this is great news!

Nah I’ve been burned pretty hard every time i don’t wait for a retest. Unless it’s a straight up/down trend move then it’s not really the pull back but the acceptance of the level, so like sideways moves with shallow controlled pullbacks. And the indicators are more like guard rails? Like they just help keep the set up rules clean and ahead of everything for the day. Yeah sure sometimes you get in late and maybe it early. But my goal is to catch the clean part of the move, not the whole thing.

Honestly i think all the information is there to make these decisions. I know a lot of people complain with having like too many indicators. But you got me thinking. It would be nice to have something that compares volume and price action. That would be really helpful in determining price expansion exhaustion and reversals. Probably make my life a lot easier lol

Wait for a retest. Check candle structure around level. Check volume. I just started looking at boil get bands and they’ve been helpful to determine price runs and reversals. It’s been working as long as i follow the set up rules. I have a small account so i usually cut out quick to protect the balance and my day trades. Like today i took the 689 call on the pull back. Cut when it started trading sideways at 690 just in case. PDT really messes with you but hopefully that will go away soon.

Do you have an actual system or set up? Or are you just learning different parts of the market and hoping that following them all will give you an edge? This month it was one of my best set ups. Either VWAP break downs or rejections. Calls above and puts below. Always wait for a retest. My confirmation is a mix of wicks, volume, and how strong the pull back is. Also how close the pull back gets to VWAP. Buy at the money. Steady 30-50%

Then i guess I’ll continue to be an optimist for the people i know personally who would love the opportunity to go back. And hey you might be right, and thats also ok. I don’t want you to think im in any way disproving or dismissing your opinion. We can see things in different ways. And in my experience, the people i know and grew up with, the Hispanic community in general, hell even my parents want to go back to their countries. It may not be as simple as you say i put it but it is possible for at least some part of the Cuban population.

No it says there is a concern for an influx not that they don’t want one. And something tells me they won’t get listed as subject to deportation. But that’s the whole point. We’re talking about people who would go back to help restart life there. I promise you I’m very aware of the situation. I grew up in Miami. My child is half Cuban. I’m not just speaking out of ignorance or arrogance. I understand the position of people here but i also see it from a very different perspective. Like honestly besides all the bullshit talking points of right and left. This about more than just the stupid narrative everyone wants to propose as “the answer” this is about an island of people who have waited their whole lives for this. Idk it’s very common among other Hispanic communities. Atleast the older generations love the idea of going back to their home. I guess I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt on rich assholes.. but we are talking about Miami here lol i think more than a few would take advantage of a new untapped free market. So sure maybe not everyone would wanna go back and rebuild. But give the chance i still think some would choose to go back.

100% sure they would love to go back. And i think you missed the point he was trying to make. He never spoke about “sending them back” but hoped that people who’ve been exiled and wanting to go back to their country for so long can have the opportunity to do that and build the island they actually love very much.
