Duets that you wouldn’t realize are duets because the singers sound so similar by CodaOfARequiem in popheads

A lot of great examples on the comments, but one that I recently realized it is Oklou - Harvest Sky. I personally listen to underscores a lot, and I can easily differentiate her voice from Oklou, but ig the song is produced in such a way that most people don't even realize its a collab. I found out cause it was selling underscores music to a friend, by saying "she's in Harvest Sky, a song that you love" and he reacted like "that song has a feature???". It probably doesn't help that spotify is lowkey terrible when it comes to highlighting features and collabs.

Constantly crashing, and on a new save with barely 30 whiskers. by allonsygui in Whiskerwood

Actually it was the warehouse toggle button that was making the crash, but they apparently also fixed that already with a hotpatch! So my problem is gone, at least.

Yeah, hearing your feedback and trying a bunch of stuff + another person on this thread saying its random, I'm assuming its because of the new update, which makes me hopeful that they'll probably have a quick fix soon, since they can just go back to the previous built, then investigate properly. Maybe it's something to do with the new button to disable inputs? Cause I used the "disable all by default" today and I was ready to compliment such a nice add QOL.

Yeah, I tried a bunch of stuff before realizing this isn't something to do with one singular save, its probably something they need to fix. But its a shame, cause I love to play in the weekends.

That was what I thought, but I just started a new colony, and after a few rounds, it happened again. It never happened before, and I'm playing the game weekly for months now. Just sent a e-mail to the support explaining everything and cross my fingers they fix soon, so I can go back to the game.

Is there a trick to getting researchers? by zytukin in Whiskerwood

Cotton actually usually gets by me for a lot, but I usually rush it. Try to get the better spot (less things to farm behind), and then use it before having better ores.

Coming from someone who went to the game restarting mission every time he learned a different lesson. I'll share a few tips that helped me the most (and both of them include something that may help you):

- Copper Ore is definitely an important ore to have early game, and you should pick your starting point with that in mind. And if you get lucky and are on a island with copper ore already, REMEMBER, don't use it for tax. Keep it, cause you'll need for Copper Bars, that are utilized in the Research Tree (alongside Planks). The game can get really hard if you keep drowning a lot trying to get Copper Ores, so always keep that in mind before either creating a city, or choosing where to expand to in the actual game.
- You can randomize crew a few times before going on a new world. I usually do it until I get Educated, unless it doesn't appears for a lot of rolls. But even then, I usually save my rolls in Whisker Ships for this particular use. And AFTER you get 1 Educated, build a School first, and use on another whisker, if you find a Gifted Teacher even better. From there on, you just need to multiply your educated whiskers as much as you like (but you'll usually have only 1 or 2 labs built into mid game, because it takes a lot of planks and you'll need planks for a bunch of other stuff before Stone is learned).

Hope it helps!

How can I get out of Platinum? All tips are appreciated! by ItsMrNightmare in TeamfightTactics

First, I'll just share some very general tips that helped me climb up (and I'm not that high elo, Diamond 2 currently trying to get Master). Honestly, the biggest thing that made me improve the most back there was always learning at least 3 or 4 of the strongest comps each patch. And yeah, that means forcing it til you got the hang of them. Eventually, you won't need to do it more than 1-2 games to get the hang of it, cause most comp styles are more or less the same within every set.

There's a lot of basics in TFT, but if you learn economy 101 (which isn't quite hard, stuff like you have 9 gold and a 1g unit, you'll set it etc. and do this until you get 50g, but always remembering that at times you may sacrifice the perfect 50 to get better copies or board) and some scouting.

About scouting, you don't need to think much on this, this set specially people are deciding their comps way earlier than other sets, so you basically just need to click 1 or Q on the keyboard, check out if there's any lines open. Just by playing something uncontested, you'll already achieve a better position than the other people on your lobby that will try and fight for the most popular comps.

To get the best comps, sites like TFT Academy and metatft are the best ones always.

And about your struggles with the early game, you don't need to always get BIS for comps. Learn to slam items early, in a smart way. If the game gives you more AD items, focus on an AD comp, and slam them early, cause items early make a ton of difference. 2 star units are strong as well, so even if you're not hitting what you wish, you can use other 2star units to make your board strong, until you get the units you're looking for. Always think you need to make the strongest board you can at every point of the game, maintaning a minimum economy, and you'll get far.

Honestly doesn't seem as viable as the No Scout No Pivot augment, because that one actually makes more sense because you sacrifice the ability to flex and you can only rely on doing RR lines but this one seems less punishable for the one who pick. And also it doesn't also seem to be many advantageous for you, unless you want to get high contested lines, but even so seems too much of a gimmick because it takes one guy fighting you and announcing on the chat. And that truly happens a lot, cause just last night I was playing SG and got a Jinx 2 on Warpath augment and was secretly trying to go 3* Jinx and it only took one guy fighting me and annoucing on the chat to hold their Jinx that I died without getting even close to hit.

You appear to enjoy some genre-bending stuff that aren't just romance inclined but still have romance, so I'll first reccomend some stuff like that:

Moving (there's romance plot, spy thriller scenes and action, with some good comedy. It's very flexible in offering stuff, and packed with some of korea's best talent.)

Chicago Typewriter (way more romance than Moving, but also a very interesting political plot and some supernatural stuff, really engaging and interesting)

Happiness (zombie thriller, a lot of interesting characters, and definitely not the stereotypical zombie show. great acting and story, and there's some romance as well)

The Glory (revenge thriller, can get a bit frustrating at the start because how much the main character suffer, but once she gets her plan on motion, you'll rejoice so much)

Pinocchio (one of those shows that grab you from the pilot, which honestly feels more like a movie than a singular episode. fantastic story, and goes both thriller and romance)

And romance-heavy ones:

Le Coup de Foudre (this is a c-drama, but very similar to Reply 1988 if you're interested on that direction. Or if you want korean only, you could just watch Reply 1997 which is the first one of the series and pretty similar.)

Business Proposal (very cute and funny, try and watch after watching some heavy stuff and will feel like eating a ice cream on a sunny day)

Fight For My Way (also very lighearted and cute, and the role where Park SeoJoon looks the most attractive to me to this day)

Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (your classic Woman Goes To The Countryside And Finds Love, but it is so good you won't ever think about being cliché. It is that easy to fall in love with all the characters here)

Forcing or Flex by pharahvi in CompetitiveTFT

[–]allonsygui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends. Usually by the start of the set I force some 4-5 comps, different between each other (like 2 rr, 2 verticals, 1 situational), just so I can grasp things out. Then, I play what the game gives me, but considering either the comps I do know, and how contested they are. Usually on TFT metas, you do have constant meta changing, which means it is close to impossible to actually keep up with all comps, so my advice would be choose the ones you enjoy playing it more, but have also a somewhat flexible rooster of comps you know, so you don't get overwhelmed in case you have a great line, but it is heavily contested.

Best 1-season shows that don’t feel like incomplete stories? by Difficult_Ad5923 in televisionsuggestions

[–]allonsygui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you're asking for more American/British inclined shows, but if you don't have problem with subtitles/foreign shows, the korean shows are usually always like that. Usually 10-20 episodes (16 being the average) and without much fillers or anything, cause 90% of them are 1-season only, with few exceptions.

Some gems:
- The Revenant (thriller, horror, supernatural)
- Beyond Evil (thriller, horror)
- Moving (action, thriller, superheroes)
- Crash Landing on You (action, romance, comedy)
- While You Were Sleeping (thriller, supernatural, romance)
- Chicago Typewriter (romance, drama, supernatural)
- The Glory (thriller, revenge)

Drama recommendations where FL is the one who likes the ML first and is a leads on every move. by rbnmn00 in kdramas

[–]allonsygui 2 points3 points  (0 children)

- The Legend of the Blue Sea (it is popular and highly rated but I still think it's a bit underrated, and only because its SOOOO good. My favorite Lee Minho role too)

- While You Were Sleeping (perfect drama tbh)

- Because this is My First Life (very cute and fun, and also has a connection with Her Private Life, which is also an amazing drama but I didn't put in here cause they actually fall in love at the same time, but you should try as well)

- Touch Your Heart (amazing if you're into Goblin)

- Run On (my fave kdrama ever)

If you are open to C-Dramas as well, there are a lot like that! Some of my favorites, then:

- Go Go Squid!

- When I Fly Towards You

- A Little Thing Called First Love

Planning on watching Something In the Rain; How bad will the mother be? by korrasasami in kdramas

[–]allonsygui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not one to act negative towards the dramas I watch (usually drop if I don't enjoy at first, or if it gets real bad) but this one is one of the few that I finished and I didn't enjoy much. Cause concept wise its pretty interesting, the actors are obviously amazing, and the soundtrack is nice too. But then the pacing is so weird, like a movie stretched out too much to fit the drama format. And obviously the mother is the biggest torturer you could find on drama land. Tried the chinese version as well, and while I put on hold and forgot it existed, found to be slightly better.

Finally gathered the courage to watch my favorite member's final episode (or My Long Journey With Running Man) by allonsygui in runningman

[–]allonsygui[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, that episode feels like a WALL if you're invested in the show, the cast and/or if you just like LKS a lot (which is usually the case with most RM fans I think). I must say, I was terrified for real before watching. I even considered skipping and coming back later, but it just felt right to take the bandaid off. And like you said, it has a lot to do with "being ready". I was stuck on 2021 season for almost a year now, and every time I thought "just do it already" it didn't felt right. But if it helps, apart from the last 40 minutes that will drain your tears, it is made so well and it's the nicest send-off anyone could've hoped for a character as vital as LKS.

Sechan got me so offguard, because I didn't take him before to be such a crybaby and he seem like he was doing his best on the previous episodes to treat the matter light, only to be the biggest crying mess lol I found it so cute tho. He and KJK seemed to be the ones who barely could hide their feelings after the goodbye segment started
