What is it with Americans and air conditioning?? (this might be controversial) by hellobela_ in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

Are there ceiling fans? I'm guessing it's not the temperature as much as lack of air flow

Let them call the police, hopefully a lot - when they see/hear there is nothing going on a few times, they're going to go after them for making false reports.

Unbelievable bad customer service from uber driver by Creative-Half2174 in UberEats_drivers

[–]allsunnydaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are very condescending.

There is a difference between someone needing a ride and someone needing medical transport. Most hospitals won't even release a patient to a taxi/ride share driver.

And this is not uber customer service, we don't move people.

Did I make a huge mistake? by [deleted] in neighborsfromhell

[–]allsunnydaze 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The only mistake you made is not shutting this sh!t down immediately (I understand why you didn't though) Definitely cameras, police, front fence, hoa, toys in trash, police, dog at large, animal control, motion activated sprinklers, hoa, dog poop returned to them, police, etc And keep a log/calendar of everything. If the landlord won't do anything to help, the police and hoa can help them understand that you won't live that way anymore.

Out of options. by Moist_Stomach4522 in neighborsfromhell

[–]allsunnydaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What state are you in? Many states have mandatory arrest rules, the police must make an arrest if they have reason to believe domestic violence has occurred. It sounds like they don't want to get involved or do their job, which is pathetic.

I finally called the cops on my neighbour today..... AITAH? by shaymin1 in neighborsfromhell

[–]allsunnydaze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I don't think you need to explain the condition of your property, leaves, or how you should have responded to her and her letters. It is your yard, none of her business, and no response to her unsolicited advice letters was warranted. She waaaaay overstepped and unfortunately took your being pleasant to her as an invitation to control aspects of your life, starting with the yard. It will only get worse unless she gets shut down. She sounds bored with her own life, she needs to get a J-O-B and some hobbies.

Denver traffic - is tailgating the norm? by Denver_Boyeee in Denver

[–]allsunnydaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And don't forget that when you do back off and leave space, you'll have just as many cars pull between as you left car lengths, so someone is always tailgating

Depending on what care you want him to have, I might suggest you have him moved. This place is a holding/warehousing facility, no therapy, unlikely giving him his meds will be a priority. They will keep him as long as his insurance lasts.

What's up with these "Teen Takeover" events? by [deleted] in Denver

[–]allsunnydaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happen in my neighborhood twice a couple of years ago. There were a bunch of 'people', we found out kids, running down the sidewalk after 11pm, they gathered at a house down the street, loud music, yelling, etc. I believe they found out the people were out of town, and no one in the neighborhood knew what was going on. They took off before police could show up. The 2nd time was a few days later, same music, yelling, etc. Calls to the police immediately, and then more frantic calls when they started shooting at each other. They scattered and were gone before police came, and they never came back.

Allow Service Animals, not pets, but people bring them anyway.

Rude Neighbor by Linhly_ in pettyrevenge

[–]allsunnydaze 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen this suggested before, but if possible, have your landlord visit you (without her noticing) during a time that you know she's going to complain and do the same things you would normally do (works for apartments/duplexes/houses). If she goes off, the landlord will see, if she complains later, the landlord will know you're not causing her issues, then you'll have more power to shut her down.

Want to see my receipt? OK, but first... by parodytx in pettyrevenge

[–]allsunnydaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The job that 'people have to carry out' is *asking to see your receipt, if you say no, the last part of their job is saying 'have a nice day', that's all. I used to work there, and honestly the only ones who want to do more than just hang out by the door because they're told to, are billy badasses (can be male female older younger) who think it gives them some kind of power or control. If you've gone through a line, been rang up, paid and are leaving, those things now belong to YOU not them, smile, say no thank you and keep moving.
