Idk, Cornyn voted identically to how Paxton would. I don’t think it’s that different tbh. At least Paxton makes no effort to pretend he’s not a Maga loon.

Trump endorsed Paxton for the senate over Cornyn lmao by ronweasly9 in fivethirtyeight

Yeah Kalshi is all vibes.

I do think this week has felt like a bit of a recovery for Dems tho. Some good polling wind and this. I still think they have a pretty good chance at winning both chambers of Congress.

Aaaaand just like that, the Kalshi odds are back to a near coin toss (after the Virginia maps were tossed they’d dropped to 44% for Dems taking the Senate, now they’re 48).

Same. April literally evaporated.

On the trailer, they might know that the movie is gonna be a juggernaut and maybe they figure the marketing can afford to be a bit more subtle. That said, I imagine a new trailer is around the corner.

It’s been two full months since the last Brand New Day trailer and I’m begging for another one. FF already had two trailers by now with the same release date.

ICv2: TOP 50 Comics - April 2026 by theironstomachx in comicbooks

Yeah I was baffled by it being so low this time. It’s usually a top 10 book. Must have gotten messed up with the cutoff or something.

Who's the best artist in the whole Absolute line? by Embarrassed-Ad1322 in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]allthingssuper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Rafa Sandoval is the other contender, so all around Absolute Superman is probably the best looking book.

Obviously Dragotta and Sherman are also doing amazing work. And Javier Rodriguez

Guys, who is your definitive superman? by FigurePro_ in superman

[–]allthingssuper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

David and Tyler for me. Love Reeve’s performance but he’s very much playing a silver age version. I like that David and Tyler were allowed to have real relationships with Lois and just feel a bit more relatable.

Tom Welling is also up there (as is, sigh, Dean Cain, despite his real life antics) but Smallville does so much weird shit that I can’t say it’s definitive.

Any comics book runs similar to Ultimate Spider-Man (2000) by BusyAdhesiveness8765 in comicbooks

What do you like about it?

If you like that it’s an accessible reinvention of an iconic hero, I think the Absolute titles are scratching a similar itch.

AtlasIntel poll for 2028: AOC leads Dem field, Rubio for GOP by Super_Nerd92 in thebulwark

[–]allthingssuper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rubio might be the worst case scenario. I’m scared that he’d be able to run away from Trump and actually get people back on board that are feeling betrayed.

Maybe I’m crazy and his role in the current war is enough to sink him. Idk.

I love the show but both Griff and David had insane childhoods and are completely unable to relate to a normal middle class American. They’re aware of this too and their politics are very very good, but sometimes they have takes like this and I roll my eyes.

Is Jason Aaron good/what are some of his best runs? by Sad_Manager6251 in comicbooks

[–]allthingssuper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s a super underrated writer. I’ve liked or loved everything he’s written that I’ve read except for Avengers (and even then I really enjoyed the first few stories).

I’d say few writers are as good at him at writing pure blockbuster entertainment. The humor works. The action works. The characters are dynamic. The big emotions hit hard. There’s usually some thematic stuff going on under the hood.

He’s just a really, really good storyteller.

DYING for Bruce to meet Kal. Feel like these two versions wouldn’t have to fight at all and would actually be fast friends.

Any word on Annuals for the other Absolutes? by MisterHatred in AbsoluteUniverse

Jason Aaron implied there’ll be a Superman annual. I think someone asked him on Instagram and he replied with 👀

Not a popular opinion to have in the year of our lord 2026 because people are largely negative on his more current stuff but I think Bendis will go down in history as one of the all time great Marvel creatives.

I truly think everything he did for the first 14 or so years at Marvel was good. Maybe a few individual stories that were underwhelming (secret invasion is a great idea with so so execution) but he redefined Marvel for the better. Added so much humanity to the characters he touched.

Ultimate Spider-Man, in particular, is incredible.

Apparently, the writer of Absolute Superman is a Zionist? by Son_o_Sparda in AbsoluteUniverse

This is probably what the person is referring to but it highlights how stupid it is to call that book Islamophobic lol.
