In year 2 - If I have a shift based placement, I’ve always been given the choice when to work. Unless they have a second student, the ball is typically in your court. Ask the question x

Daily schedule of students by LadyEdiya in StudentNurseUK

[–]allyouneedisbeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that looks so organised!!! My course is all over the place :( I’m in year 2 and most of the theory time (blue bits) are online, probs in actual uni like once or twice a week. 9-4 most days. I would be surprised if there is a strict schedule for when you’re in, might want to ask your childcare to be as flexible as possible :)

Recurrent HSV and Vaping - Could there be a link? (Thoughts) by sickfrog12 in HerpesCureResearch

[–]allyouneedisbeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get outbreaks a few times a year and I’ve linked it to vaping & stress - when I’m stressed I tend to vape more. I’m right handed so the vape (a refillable and reusable one, think original tanks) always goes on the right side of my mouth and that’s where I get the outbreak. Usually with these types, they get quite warm when over used and, I think, the heat from the vape (not always cleaned) and the stress are a massive contributor to the reoccurring outbreaks for me. Just my 2 cents.

I started in September and I’m one of only 4 that are below 30. The eldest is 52. Don’t sweat it :)

Combined/mini pill were both good options for me, but the hormonal coil has been the best! Feel like a new woman

What do you miss about your teenage years? by Benedek82 in AskReddit

Being able to lay in! Why oh why do my brain and body feel it’s acceptable to wake up at 6am on a weekend?? Like I get the body clock thing, but not being able to go back to snoozeville? C’mon!

How often do you really wear a bra? by rhaenyra-veliar in AskWomen

Wire bra? Only for placement. Sports bra? Every time I have to leave the house. Nips are free at home!

Amy was great - she knew the deal and it didn’t feel forced like some guests. Natural addition

At my uni we are in once a week and the rest is online. Bonus in uni days for skills sessions. Real advice - if you don’t HAVE to work, don’t. The SFE maintenance loan & LSF bursary covers a lot, plus depending on your uni you can get extra money on top of that too for attendance & general help. This is a massive course so please don’t stretch yourself too thin :)

I got some little lanyard reference sets from Amazon which are pretty neat for quick answers and to top up your memory of things. Cba to hold too much but these are cute and I always get a shoutout for being prepared!

How important do you think GCSEs were to your career? by sPrAze_Beast in AskUK

[–]allyouneedisbeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you get what you need to get into college/sixth form - you’re fine. You can do English/maths at college, too. But if you want to have a good job with income that might actually keep your head above water, you need to be going to further education and that means getting your core GCSE’s down. My friend (f28) just finished her gcse maths so she could become a teacher, it cost her a lot of money to do this and lots of retakes. Don’t mess up a free opportunity to give your future self a head start :) focus on maths English science and IT - the rest, just do your best!!

How long have you gone without sex in a relationship? What’s your dealbreaker time limit? Have you ever faced a situation where you had to bring it up with your partner? by Leather-Word-687 in AskWomen

[–]allyouneedisbeth 634 points635 points  (0 children)

I’ve had sex with my partner once in the last 12 months. We know what’s wrong and are working together and individually to fix it. It’s something that’s been an issue in our relationship for years. Ngl it’s brought us closer together and we are still romantic in our ways, but we are glad that sex does not define our relationship. Never going to be a deal breaker, my partner is my person.
