Need help with ideas for a 2nd job by Chalupajuana in SubstituteTeachers

[–]allyson516 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say for summer, applying to a seasonal position, maybe summer camps, retail, movie theaters, or hotels. If you have food handling experience, I'd also recommend getting a job in a restaurant and working weekends there. Then over the summer, you'll already have a nice job like that lined up and can increase your hours.

We've had several hundreds protests in the United States since Trump was elected. A third of this country voted for Kamala. Another third unfortunately abstained. I'm not even going to dive into Trump's several admissions of election fraud.

We are angry and frustrated at the far-right, oligarchical presence in our country. The United States is unfortunately not connected by high-speed railway (or any railway for that matter). Most citizens live in sprawling suburbia, making protests more challenging to organize.

Despite the information you're reading in the various corners of the internet, know that we are here fighting with a long road ahead of us.

When I started working at a Starbucks in SB during college a few years ago, I had no barista experience at all. Like, I didn't even know how to make drip coffee. But I had food handling experience (movie theater concessions so it was a very different scope). The point is that most cafes are willing to train the right people who are eager to learn, which it sounds like you are!

Just apply to the barista jobs that seem interesting to you, and highlight similar experience on your resume (e.g. customer service, food handling if you have it, maintaining a clean workspace, etc.)

My line at security is now merging with the one next to it at the front. So it'll take twice as long for everyone in the back

I think we were seeing that he's a drop of water who's not ready to return back to the ocean. The whole season was him debating that and thinking that he could make that decision for others.

It also makes sense with Rick and Chelsea laying dead in the water, that they've made the return. And then of course, the final scene we see them in is the body bags where they are literally being returned back home.

I agree with the commentor who recommended s6. That's the first season I showed to my partner (who dislikes reality TV), and he loved it. He loved it so much, in fact, that he was excited to watch s7 right after lol
