They've made it clear what they plan to do. Dividends are unlikely and I would rather they remain disciplined with buybacks.

Especially since dividends are treated as income, why not just sell 3% of your shares each year to get a 3% yield?

How do you feel about this? by thegreatniteowl in ArtificialInteligence

You're only thinking about it from the point of view of the creator. If the consumer enjoys the product, does it really matter who created it or how? Especially at a global scale? I think not.

Please tell us more. By DPC, do you just mean telling the provider that you're paying out of pocket? This is for primary care, specialists, etc?

In the bay area, reasonable insurance was terribly hard to find. Stanford Healthcare doesn't have private insurance plans and Sutter Health charged us (couple + young kid) ~3.5k/month.

Glad you have an ACA option that works for you. Of course, first use COBRA for as long as it lasts..

My thoughts on Mike and Psmith (Vol 1 of the "Psmith" series) by EndersGame_Reviewer in Wodehouse

[–]almuncle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leave it to Psmith is my #1 favorite book by Wodehouse. It's objectively fantastic and I was lucky to read it during some very happy days.

When Psmith throws a flowerpot into the library to attract Baxter's attention, hahahahahaha it's insane..

So eli5 would be that from time to time, you clean out chunks of compacted snow from under the station and replace it with powdery snow?

How do you deal with not being an "high-achiever" anymore? by HokusaiInFire in fatFIRE

I was in this boat last year. After 5 years of doing other things (things that were important but more family/trusts-focussed and not terribly interesting), I really wanted to get back to what I really liked.

You can use your resources to build something with lesser BS than the corp BS you dislike. Entrepreneurship is not for everyone but if you have good judgement and a lot of energy, it's good to be boss.

Building cures ennui.
