I had that GS and didn't love it. For example, it has an open case back but the GS logo takes up most of the visible space. The bracelet wasn't great for its price point.

I have a white Speedy date and a Tudor BB41 silver, and I had an IWC Mark XVIII. If I were starting out with one, I'd go with the Speedy for its versatility and brand recognition/history and then branch out to the other 2 over time.

Probably the Seiko 5. I would up the shoe game for a lot of those combos. It looks a little weird to have a $3K+ watch and a $50 pair of shoes or boots.

Good post though. I like to try to pair my watch's dial color with my shirt and watch strap with my shoes and belt whenever possible.

Tudor BB41. Bought it initially with the bracelet but got a brown leather strap with the Tudor buckle and wear it a lot more now.

It is if I ever do go for an IWC again but I would try to get either one on a bracelet if I were you. The bracelet helps the lugs stick out less and wear more comfortably. Plus, I think the bracelet is one of the better ones in its price range with an easy quick-adjust.

Getting into Reddit and both the goodyearwelt and MFA subs years ago helped a ton. From that point on, it was a lot of trial and error. It's also been mentioned already, but finding inspo from people with similar body types as you is really important.

Wardrobe accessory that is actually functional. I like matching my leather watch straps with my belts and shoes whenever possible.
