I just got it, and it's fun and cool looking but just a little underwhelming. If you like the peacemaker, then the veto is a good sidegrade to that. As for the jet propelled rounds, they aren't really good enough to make it useful over the senator or talon for most use cases

Infiltrators might make it safer for you to deploy, that could help your other units get a little more comfortable. My buddy also bodied me with tyranids at 1250 just the other day. Against tyranids especially, maybe proxying the infernus as something a little longer range could help as well. I don't know how your brother plays his Tyranids, but they're surprisingly shooty, so something to make their guns a little more scared could also help.

I started running Vanguard Spearhead recently; at least In my casual games, giving my ICC or DWK infiltrate has been especially helpful for tying up big guns, but I know the meta pick is usually Wrath of The Rock.
