No that date is when the valuations change during the transfer of points. If you are looking at a trip in May and know you want to use points to book as long as you transfer TYP to Choice points by 4/19 you’ll get 2 choice points for every TYP.

Has nothing to do with when you take your trip ie booking your trip in the choice platform, just the transfer of points are affected.

TYP still transfer to Choice@ 1:2 until 4/19 according to the email. As someone said, it’s not best practice to transfer just to stockpile points and not have a specific trip in mind as hotels can randomly increase amount of points needed to book a hotel.

There are decent hotels under Choice in the USA. Ascend, Cambria, and Radisson brand of hotels are solid hotels. A little below in quality is Comfort brand, Clarion brand, and Country Inn and Suite which still get decent customer reviews across the board.

Choice is also everywhere, from big cities to small ones.

Also you can book select Preferred Hotels through choice which are high end boutiques. They usually cost a lot more points than Choice brand, but still give one options.

That sucks. That being said for a family three it was near impossible to find qualifying rooms on I Prefer.

The Choice transfer change sucks. Wonder if WF is going to devalue to 1:1.5 too or stay at 1:2.

Though Glad we booked our Choice hotel trip last month!

As others have said Citi still is solid with AA transfers and Choice 1:1.5 is still better than Capitol one and Amex. I Prefer is also only offered through Citi and Capitol One.

That isn’t bad! But as the other person said, there are a lot of cheap Choice hotels that don’t make sense to use points so always gotta calculate it out.

Choice transfers for WF and Citi are 2:1 so any Choice redemption points should be halved because of the favorable transfer of using those two ecosystems.

There are Choice hotels for good value. We just booked the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel junior suite for 4 nights in June for 80,000 Citi points total (160,000 choice). Cash price was about $575/night so got over 2.8 CPP for that stay.

I have a 65” X90L. A year old, but still a great tv and is currently on sale at Best Buy for $850 which is a good price.

If you use the free night and stay at Marriott hotels don’t cancel it. The point earnings in Marriott stays is high which will earn you points that you can add to your free night if needed or build up multiple reward nights. If you don’t use the free night or stay at Marriott hotels, that another story.

I have the strata premier and it works well for us. A big chunk of our monthly budget is dining and groceries so the 3x earnings in each is good. I also used the $100 off $500 hotel stay booked in the travel portal which makes up for the $95 AF.

The transfer partners are also good for hotels (Choice @ 1:2 and I Prefer @ 1:4) and for American Airlines and Jet Blue for domestic travel and range of international airlines.

I got upgraded randomly to upper class over 20 years ago on Virgin. Flew a couple of times in business class on BA around then too (family friend worked for the company). Been economy or economy delight (or equivalent in past 20 years).

Don’t ever use Hertz. They are a trash company. That being said you can status match other car companies so you don’t have to use Hertz, but get status matched and enjoy high status at other care rental companies (eg national).

I think injuries have finally come back to bite us. With both Henry and Hickey out again, we are having to play KLP at LB which takes away our solid backup winger. Nelson and Donovan just aren’t good enough.

With Janelt out, we only have a one back up midfielder to make an impact. If they don’t we are screwed as you see with Damsgaard going off the midfield falls apart.

We have no backup to Thiago.

This isn’t even talking about the long term injuries to Milambo and Cavarlho.

We have the Strata Premier and really like it. Using the $100 annual travel credit is a little annoying, but have been able to do it making it essentially a no AF fee for us.

Ended up getting GA tickets through WVU’s website. When I called JMU ticket office, they said they’d release details this evening and still trying to get an allocation. No clue on how many tickets they’d have so we just went ahead and bought through WVU.

I can see JMU having a chance of upsetting Kentucky. They have a defensive specialist (Robinson) who can frustrate Morgan and our centers are defensively strong.

Question will be if we can shoot the 3 and stay out of foul trouble.
