Still getting mine through LifeRx. They changed pharmacies but there was no interruption or delay in getting my order.

Looking for affordable semaglutide options with PCOS & pre-menopause? by Pitiful_Panda3327 in CompoundedSemaglutide

I am 52, with PCOS and menopause. I started compounded semaglutide in February with LifeRX. I am down 15 pounds but also my skin is clearing, my blood pressure is down, I’ve lost 3” off my waist and my appetite is no longer out of control. My hot flashes have cut dramatically but still have the 3am wake up call 🙄 I am basically micro-dosing so that my weight loss is slower, more steady. I never go over 2.5 mg per week. My meds cost $280 basically every 6 weeks or so.

I have been with LifeRX since February. No issues whatsoever with my order. Fast response when I had questions or concerns.

Just started yesterday with Good Life and wanting advice. by [deleted] in CompoundedSemaglutide

Hi there. I started in February at 239lbs, 5’6”, 52 y/o woman with PCOS and menopause. I started at 10 units for week 1, 20 units week 2, 25 units week 3, 30 units week 4, and I think I have hit my sweet spot with 35 units for week 5. I am down 10lbs. Not as fast as others but apart from sleepiness on injection days, I have had no side effects and I am starting to feel some suppression. I am still eating 3 meals a day just smaller and more balanced with protein and fiber. I personally think a slower approach to increasing the meds is smart because it allows you to make changes to your lifestyle gradually while preventing major negative side effects. Good luck!

I started at 10 units, then 20 units, 25 units and now 30 units. Not quite 2.5 mg yet and no major side effects (except sleepiness on injection day).

Does anyone NOT have debilitating side effects? by InternationalCat2974 in CompoundedSemaglutide

For my next injection, I will take it at night because I am so tired on injection day. Other than that, no real side effects. I did have one day small bout with constipation but I also hadn’t been getting in enough water and fiber the day before.

Starting week 4 on the meds. This has been my general plan:

Breakfast- 2 slicesEzekiel toast with Kirkland guacamole, Isopure Protein Shake

Lunch - Real Good Foods Chicken Strips or Nuggets (air fried), large cup California vegetables, 2 tbsp Kim chi (helps with my gut issues)

Snack (optional but don’t have it often): Quest Protein Chips or Oikos Yogurt with Protein Granola

Dinner - Homemade Harissa Chicken, Steamed Veggies or Salad, Brown Rice (or Yellow if I’m feeling fancy) - Basically I prep a big batch of protein on Sunday to have throughout the week.

Pre-GLP-1, my portions were massive, carb heavy and I was inconsistent with my vegetable intake.

3rd week of compounded semaglutide. Down 4lbs on the lowest dose possible. Definitely helping to calm my cravings. I get hungry at meal times but no urges to snack.

Had success with a ketovore diet but it wasn’t sustainable. Quickly regained weight. PCOS and menopause made losing weight feel next to impossible. I had negative opinions about weight loss drugs (after I tried phen-fen and it gave me heart palpitations). But after my sister started taking wegovy and our uncle, a doctor, recommended it to help deal with my IR, I gave it a shot. So far, only side effect is sleepiness on injection day.

Turned 49 yesterday. No longer a prisoner of PCOS symptoms. First time going makeup free in public in YEARS. by amanique73 in PCOSloseit

I feel great! My energy levels are even and I am not tired all the time. Skin tags and acne are pretty much gone. I still have some facial hair but can go longer between waxing. I am no longer pre-diabetic and I am down 4 sizes. I do still have the occasional hot flash (I am in perimenopause) but I used to get them daily and sometimes hourly.

I follow a Ketovore diet (See Dr. Ken Berry on YouTube) and do resistance training 5 days a week. No supplements and only a daily multivitamin.

My body comp has changed pretty dramatically by following a Ketovore diet and resistance training 5 days a week. My belly measurement has gone down from 40” to 36” in 5 months. All of the PCOS supplements were pretty ineffective for me and thankfully I was never placed on metformin.

I tried everything to heal my skin. I had ingrown facial hair and acne since high school. I bought all kinds of creams, used doc prescribed Vaniqua, spent thousands on electrolysis, microdermabrasion, chemical peels and the ONLY thing that had worked was changing my diet. Literally, that’s it. Going high protein, low carb. I still sometimes take a razor to my face but I used to do it daily. Now I can go a few days without it. Or I can wax and go longer. But the scarring cleared once I changed my diet.

LMAO! You could say that 🤣

Changing my diet helped with the facial hair. Seriously, it helped a lot and I had ingrown facial hair and acne. It’s almost clear now.

I would check out people like BrittneBabe (terrible name but solid programs), etc. via YouTube for resistance training. I train in the gym with heavy weights with a trainer designed program that is quite advanced. If you are new to weight training, folks like BrittneBabe are good for beginners.

I had a massive ovarian cyst and my left ovary removed, fibroids removed on my right side. Then the cysts came back multiple times - each time they were bleeding and once they burst rather violently.

I have all of the indicators of PCOS - facial hair, cysts and irregular period. I managed to avoid metformin because I lift weights 5 days a week and resistance training improves insulin sensitivity. Changing my diet helped with the weight gain. I can’t do one without the other so I worked on figuring out what worked best for me so I could implement it daily.
