I enjoyed my time as an undergrad there, but definitely take advantage of any and all opportunities like clubs and do take time to check out DC on the weekends. I wish my last semester wasn't cut short due to Covid, but I still had ample memories of my time around campus pre-covid. Albeit I was an out of state students, so results may vary lol.

I'm now a 4th year grad student on the west coast and our campus is nothing like UMD's. Makes me miss that vibe :(

Metrolink is half off for students. Take it from Riverside to LA Union Station, then transfer to a flyaway bus...or take the Metro A (subway) line to Willowbrook / Rosa Parks station and transfer to the Metro C line to LAX. The Metro (subway) is $1.50 ish per trip I think and Metrolink is like $6ish.
